Yesterday we were at my parents & Gray was playing with Aunt Taylor's spiderman doll. He sings & dances & Grayson thinks he is awesome. I was busy working on a project and I looked over a little later to see all the straws spilled on the floor & then Gray was poking them in Spiderman's face. I asked who had spilled the straws and Grayson promptly said, "Piderman!" And, the past week when he's gotten in trouble for different things he's been saying, "baby brudder come in here!" He's already got down the skill for passing the buck!

Last night I put Grayson in bed and he struggled for a while, crying & saying a few things that we couldn't quite understand. Before we went to bed around 11:30, I went in to check on him and found him in only his diaper. He had unzipped his jammies & taken them off! I put pants on him but didn't want to risk waking him to put a shirt on, so I just snuggled him up. This morning when I got him up he said, "Grayson taked shirt off!" He was pretty proud of himself and totally remembered undressing in his little fit of rage!
This morning we were getting ready and I picked him up and he patted my head and said, "Mama's hair so cute!" It was the first time I had worn it down in about 5 days, so I'm sure he was just surprised I was actually ready for the day! It made me feel good still though!
Zac and I went to the temple & ran errands today and Grayson stayed with my parents. When we got back, we ate dinner with them and afterward Nana gave Gray a mini fudgesicle. When he was done and cleaned up, but still sitting at the bar, he said, "I have other one?" I told him no and that one was enough. He indignantly replied, "I NEED it!" Nana & I started cracking up which led to him saying he "needed" it more and more. Such a funny kid! Also, last time we were in McCall with the whole fam, Lance taught Grayson about the joy of opening your mouth & squirting easy whip into your mouth. Now he thinks it's called, "open mouth," and says that if he sees a can. Nana gave him a couple squirts & he thought it was great!

Our bedtime routine is getting longer and longer it seems. He often says, "rockabye baby" wanting me to rock him instead of taking him to bed and tonight after family prayers & visiting for a little while, we took him into his crib & laid him in there. I asked if he wanted a song and he said, "give away." I sang Give Said the Little Stream and before I was even done he said, "Popcorn popping." I sang that & then he said, "Spider out." Sang the Itsy Bitsy Spider & then he said, "I a child of God." Sang that & then "Temple someday." Sang that and then he realized his options were running out and he started repeating although he knows I only sing them once each. Finally I said goodnight & he was good, but it made me laugh how he's so good at prolonging the inevitable...and he's so cute about it, I can't help but oblige!
And, lastly, funny story about the temple today. Zac and I did an endownment session & I noticed this couple in there that looked so familiar. Afterward I saw them again and asked Zac if he knew them. He said no and I was just perplexed as to why I recognized them. When I was getting ready to go, I saw the man's wife & said, "Does your husband work in the temple because he looks so familiar to me?" She kind of giggled and said, "Well yes, he is the temple president." I was laughing so hard. I told her that that explained it! She said he's there pretty much daily & we got a good laugh together and visited for a while longer. She was so sweet and I told Zac and he laughed too...whoops! Grateful we got to go again and that we're sticking to our goal. We've already seen a difference for the better in our lives. Hope each of you found something to laugh about today!
