Today Grayson and I had a special treat. A friend who had been in our first married Rexburg ward came to town with her husband and two sweet kiddos and wanted to meet up for lunch. We drove to pick them up at their hotel and it was quite interesting fitting three carseats in the back of my acura...Needless to say, Zac & I will have to get something bigger when we have three kids for sure! Tiffany and I kept laughing and shaking our heads, but the kids were fine!
We headed to Carl's Junior because they have a play area. We enjoyed visiting over our food and Grayson and Kacen ate their food good before heading out to check out the play area. Kacen is about 6 months older than Gray and was much braver. He just forged on ahead and played. Grayson was much more timid at first and just wanted to watch. Once we were about ready to leave though, Grayson decided he was brave & headed over. He climbed up and then I couldn't get him to come down. Little stinker! And of course they make those things impossible for parents to climb up-especially parents who are 7.5 months pregnant! We ended up sending Kacen up to get him...which was another mistake-2 two year olds aren't the greatest at getting each other to be obedient and get easily distracted with playing and fun. I was proud of Gray for getting brave & climbing, but trying to be stern to get him to come down.
Crazily enough, there ended up being another couple there eating who Tiffany and I both knew from our Rexburg days and they kindly had their older son go up and corral our kids. Poor Grayson was crying by the time he got pulled & yanked down, but I was grateful for the help! Tiffany was about to go up herself and poor baby Tayah was just left to fend for herself on the table in her carseat while we tried to get our crazy toddlers down!
Eventually we did and they sat for this picture looking so serene & sweet...and totally uncapable of anything but total sweetness! They have you fooled! No really, they are such sweet boys and it was so fun to meet Kacen & Tayah in real life after "knowing" them through Tiff's blog for so long. She is an amazing mom and I've always watched Kacen to see what Gray will be doing 6 months down the road. Grayson sure liked him today and they laughed and were so cute together.
It was fun to get together for a couple hours with such a sweet friend who I admire and I'm glad she made the trip down with Kyle so we could have the opportunity. We'll know two things for next time: bigger car & no carl's junior! (:
After we left our lunch date, we stopped by the bookeepers so she could finally meet Grayson and he was very charming. Totally talked to her and made her laugh a lot. He slept on the way home and I talked to Candace which makes the drive so much quicker. On our way through town, we stopped at the library which is one of Gray's favorite treats. He loves to do the puzzles there and I love that he is so easily occupied while I check out and look at books. It was a very fun day!

It was so fun to see you! Thank you so much for making the time to meet up with us. It was an adventure that I'm still smiling about. Your pictures turned out so good...totally that fancy camera you have! LOVE IT! Oh, and those brownies...YUM! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
