Rain.Clouds.Rainbows.

It's been a CRAZY week. Monday we woke up to a call that one of our stores had been broken into. The person had thrown a rock through the window, taken our safe (and the money inside), and crawled out...all without our alarm system going off. Nice, huh? Hopefully the alarm company will take some responsibility and our insurance won't have to take the full hit. That added a definite element of stress to the beginning of our week. Wednesday we were awakened with a call saying that a different store had flooded the night before. 3 inches of water-a broken toilet-flooding in our neighbor's store as well=yuck. I decided to go with Zac that day and we helped clean, document, etc. Thankfully our landlord is trying to get his insurance to take care of that mess. It was pretty discouraging because it sometimes feels like anytime we start to catch up or get a little bit ahead, something happens to tear us back down. I know there are things we must need to learn and am trying to remember that during these trials. During all of the stress of these things though, there have been highlights as well...

Amber & Ella came over Tuesday to hang out for a while. It was nice to take my mind off the business stuff and to enjoy chatting with her about her Valentine's photo booth & other happenings in our lives.

Wednesday Grayson got to spend the day at Nana & Papa Pete's while I was with Zac and he had a blast. He loved that Nana let him "eat the nowing!" and just loves playing there in general. We got back just in the nick of time for me to get down to mutual where the Laurels had planned a surprise baby shower for me. It totally made my night and all the young women & leaders were so sweet. My mom and Kelsey came down for it too which was fun. They are such good girls and I have thoroughly enjoyed my calling in working with them. This new baby boy will be well outfitted & well loved as well. Grayson attached himself right away to a little stuffed dog named Buddy & is "taking care of it" for baby brudder.

Thursday Grayson and I went to Julie's and I 3-barrel waved her hair to show her how for a wedding she was going to this weekend. Gray loved playing with the toys (although he mostly sticks close to where I am) and I had fun visiting with Julie & Rock and it was fun playing with her beautiful hair too! We ate a yummy dinner at my parents that night & Zac got home late-the poor guy has definitely been putting in extra long days this week starting with phone calls & inventory orders/computer stuff in the mornings & getting home late from working in the stores at night. Add to that the stress of everything & I am so grateful for all the hard work he does for our family.

Today is my parents 28th anniversary! Happy day to them. They are such an amazing couple & I aspire to have a marriage like theirs after 28 years! They truly like each other & are just so cute. I love how they love each other, us, and especially their grandkids. I'm so grateful they found each other!
I watched "My Sister's Keeper" today during Gray's nap. Bawled.my.eyes.out. I read the book a couple years ago, but didn't remember certain things and just being a mom changed my whole experience, I'm sure. I don't really recommend it if you don't like sad movies. Tasha came out to visit today too which was a lot of fun. She was kid-less which is rare, because her sister wanted to watch the triplets, so we visited with the interruptions of my busy toddler for a while. I love that girl. Spent the evening at Cleaver's & enjoyed dinner & watching Grayson love on all of them. I am so grateful to have both our families close enough to do that with so often. Grayson adores both sets of grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins, etc., & I am thankful he knows them so well & is so comfortable with them. Now we're headed to bed-so so tired!

So glad that you had some highlights in the week of all your stress. I have been praying for you all week. What an awesome thing the YW did for you by throwing you a shower. That is definitely so nice of them and you deserve all the spoiling you can get. Happy Anniversary to your parents. Even though I live far they even inspire me on their marriage and where I want to be. They're amazing. Have fun at Amber's photo booth today. That will be so fun. I wish we lived clsoer because I would die for some fun Valentine pics. Love ya!

Your title fits your week totally! Wow! Such a discouraging way to start the week! Hope everything that happened, turns out well & the business doesn't take all the loss! The little picture of Gray looking up @ the snow is awesome!! You're parents are amazing, individually & together! How exciting for them! YOU are amazing & no wonder everyone does little acts of kindness for you! You deserve it all & I hope you are feeling well!! My first 2 pregnancies were easy, my last 2~ I felt 90+years old!! It takes a toll on your body, but such a prize at the end! Love ya girl!!
P.S. I have a John Deere DVD that the boys loved...would you want it for Gray? I can find out the exact title & see if you have it already. Just let me know!
