Thirteen on Thursday

Since I missed my Ten on Tuesday post, I decided to do this instead. (:
1. THANK YOU! Thanks to all of you who commented on my sweet birthday post! The comments left meant so much-I am so emotional that I cried during each one. That will definitely stand out as one of my best gifts in birthday history.

2. I realize that I have been blessed with seriously good friends.

3. The actual birthday was really great. Amber & Ella rode along with me and Zac to the airport to drop him off that morning (Gray stayed at Kelsey & Grami's). After we got him off, Amber spoiled me like crazy. We went to Barnes & Noble (a favorite of both of ours) and I picked out two books. She took me to Red Robin for lunch and then we had TCBY for dessert. Yum yum! They came over afterward to my house for a couple hours just to chat & visit and it was just so nice not to be alone! Ella was an angel the whole time too and I am so grateful for Amber's long time friendship and that she knows me so so well. She took the pictures so I'll post them when I get them from her. Spent the rest of the afternoon at my folks-mom made my favorite: homemade mac & cheese and it was delicious! My visiting teaching partner had made me a yummy lemon meringue pie too which was a great dessert.

4. Thanks to all those who called, sent e-mails, posted on the blog &/or facebook, sent cards & gifts, and just thought about me. I appreciate them all so much. Again, I have great friends and family & am so grateful for this.

5. Finished off the night with McCall sleeping over and watching Biggest Loser and the premier of Parenthood. Pleased with all three of these things. (:

6. Had a pretty disappointing mommy day yesterday. I felt bad about how I handled several different things and just wanted to start over. Thankfully kids are forgiving and today is always a new start.

7. By the way, my favorite thing at Red Robin is the BLTA. Yum. Favorite at TCBY is white chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries. Even yummier.

8. I'm pretty sure I've had a few contractions. Kinda crazy as I didn't have any with Gray until the night I went into labor. I get checked Friday which should be helpful as far as letting us know how things are progressing... (:

9. My parents had a family birthday party for me Monday night before Zac had to leave and it was so nice. We had a delicious dinner of steak & potatoes and cheesecake for dessert. They got me a TV/DVD combo for my bedroom (yay!) and both Grayson and I enjoyed cuddling after naptime today on my bed watching a movie. I can tell it's going to be a great thing! Kelsey wrote me a sweet card and she and Lance gave me a coupon for 2 books they hope I'll love...mysterious, huh? She wouldn't tell me what they were, so I'm excited! It was a fun night and I'm grateful for good family.

10. Since Zac's been gone, Grayson has been in bed earlier than usual and has slept great both nights. It's been a nice break for me. By the way, he's still not sleeping in his toddler bed, but on the aerobed mattress on the floor beside it. I told him we'll have to give the bed that Papa & Grami gave him to Jaeger and he acts okay with it but then gets possessive when I pretend to really do something about it.

11. Got a B movie from Netflix called, "The Breakup Artist" and watched it alone yesterday. those movies make me laugh because they seem so low budget. At least it was clean & somewhat entertaining!

12. Started reading Jodi Picoult's new book, "House Rules," (Thanks amber!) and can tell it's going to be a great read. I have to read her in spurts because she's so intense, but this one is fascinating to me already... Now to find time to read it through before Zac gets home! (:

13. As I read back over this post I can see there is really not a lot going on this week and mainly I'm just anxious for Zac to get home and then for baby boy to arrive. (: And, I am just so grateful for 2 great families and many great friends who made my Tuesday-and the rest of the week-so wonderful. Love you all!
