On Sunday...

Rock & Julie invited us over-along with Tom, Becca & Kids and Brent, Austin & Haddie-to celebrate Amity's 2nd birthday. We got there around 6:00 and left around 10:30. It was a fun night as always when spent with these couples & we always laugh & chat so comfortably with one another which I love.

There was much good food to be had-hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salads, etc., and Gray ate a healthy meal of chips/hotdog/half a bun/cheese & juice... (: Madi helped him so much and was so patient with him throughout the night-she'll be a great babysitting resource in the future, I think! After eating dinner, we played a fun game called Ladder Ball. We will definitely be investing in this one in the future. It was a blast! I played on Austin & Tom's team against Zac, Rock, and Brent while Julie fed Bex for me. Then Brent took Bex and we played boys against girls (husbands vs. wives) and you can see that we wives are pretty fierce! I'm pretty sure we beat the boys, too! So much fun. Rock & Julie's home is beautiful and their house & yard are a kid (and adults) heaven! Grayson loved playing in the huge sandbox, on the swings, with all the John Deere tractors & toys, and all the wheeled toys. Beckham was completely sweet & charming and loved on by everyone. He is such a good baby & so easy to take anywhere. Love his sweet face! I am so grateful for these sweet couples & their friendship-we can laugh and joke and play and eat & just love being together. Toward the end of the night we hung out by the fire pit and roasted marshmallows for s'mores which the kids & the guys loved. We ended the night visiting inside & are glad we had the opportunity to have such a fun night!
