Saturday morning we decided to take a trip to the lake with Zac's parents & Morgan. We hadn't been up all year and we all needed an outing, so I'm glad we were able to go for a few hours. It was hot, but the water was cold. We didn't park at the sand-just chilled in the boat on the lake-but we got in the water and swam a bit to cool off when we got too hot. Grayson had fun dipping his feet in (cautiously) and didn't whine about wearing a lifejacket when the boat was moving or when he wanted to be near the water which I was grateful for. He talked up a storm, ate his sandwich & snacks, and enjoyed the boat rides. Grandma Wendy slalom skied first & then Morgan & finally Zac. After each person's turn, Grayson would say to them, "You sure did a great job!" Such a complimentary boy. (: I wasn't brave enough to try slaloming it, but after we left I wished I had. Next time for sure.
Beckham was a complete angel baby. Didn't make a peep the whole time we were there and just smiled the whole time. Even when his life jacket looked as if it would cut his head off! He is such a great baby and so fun to have around.
Grayson got little to no nutritional food all day and we spent some time hanging with the family while the guys moved a piano for Mom Cleaver and he continued to eat junk food. No nap all day for him, too hot, and lots of junk food led to him waking in the night coughing a lot. When I went to check on him he proceeded to throw up all over me, his bed, and everything else withing puking distance. Disgusting. I yelled for Zac (it was 11:30 and we had all been asleep) and he ran in and just got to work cleaning it up. I undressed Grayson and myself and he was just shaking & half awake/half asleep. He kept saying, "I better wash my hands, huh mom? this is so gross." I could not have agreed more. Finally got everything cleaned up & then he and I camped out in the living room. He seemed fine Sunday morning & no temperature, so I'm sure it was all the junk food/heat/no nap combination, but Zac still kept both boys home from church. Seriously hope that doesn't happen again anytime soon. Yuck yuck yuck!
The lake was still super fun though and I'm grateful we were able to go & spend some time as a little family with Zac's great parents & with Aunt Mo before she heads off to BYU-I next weekend.

Yuck! All that throw-up sounds disgusting. How nice to have that deal with Zac! We still have not been up to the Lake and really wish we could find a time to go. Maybe next year?
So sorry Grayson was sick. The older they get it seems the more disgusting the puke is! Hope all is well. You guys are such a darling family. I loved all the pictures. You look amazing by the way. Hope you are having a great week and good luck at your open house.
