Monday (18th) we kind of spent mostly chilling. We walked around the resort & explored the pool, the game room, exercise rooms, etc. Took the boys for a walk, had lunch on main street, and enjoyed each other's company...and I didn't take any pictures. Crazy, huh? We skyped my parents that night & Grayson liked that a lot. We broke out another surprise for Grayson-his first play doh-when we got home and he was so excited. He played with it so good for about an hour that night. We spent the evening watching "Clash of the Titans" after the boys went to bed-not one of our favorites, but somewhat entertaining.
Tuesday (19th) we headed out for the day. We drove to Tillamook which was about a 45 minute drive. The boys slept and we talked. Got to the cheese factory and we explored a while, tried cheese samples, enjoyed perusing the awesome store (we love all things Tillamook...cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc.), and then had a delicious lunch and the best part of all, fresh Tillamook ice cream! Totally worth the 8 hour drive! (:
We went straight to Canon Beach after that and it was beautiful. About 70 degrees-even on the beach! We loved it. The boys enjoyed playing in the sand (although Bex just wanted to eat it) and we built castles, read books, and ran in the sand. Zac and I played a game with Grayson where we each took one of his hands and ran him out to the water. When the wave would come he'd panic a little, but we had to run faster than the wave to get away and we'd swing him out of the water. He totally loved it. Beckham just loves being outside no matter what and is seriously easy to take places. However, he must have been a little nervous about being away from home because he had a blowout at least once a day while we were gone! No other symptoms and he NEVER does that at home, so I guess he just knows when he's not on his own turf, haha!
We continued playing on the beach for a few hours and then sat on the grass to work on cleaning the wet sand off our feet. Grayson thought the seagulls & birds were pretty interesting and worked up the nerve to get pretty close to one in particular. After we were dubbed clean enough by our clean car nazi daddy (haha!) we got back in and headed back through Canon Beach to look at all the cute shops. Of course shopping is pretty much a no-go with two kids on vacation, but we did manage a few fun stops.
We were all pretty tired by the time we made it back and Grayson and I ran to get some light grocery shopping done and came back to make tacos for dinner. The boys hit the sack early and Zac and I watched the new Robin Hood...but fell asleep before it ended. (: Another great couple of days!

Seriously I LOVE the pictures. YOu have such a gorgeous family and it looks like a "dream vacation." I think the sand, warm weather, and laying around is calling my name!
