So back to the night we spent with Amber & Todd for Zac's birthday... (: Of course kids rarely sleep in when you want them to, so we were all up kinda early on the first. Amber made yummy pancakes for breakfast & we hung out there for a while longer before heading out. As we were leaving, Zac realized he couldn't find his wallet. He was totally stressed and we searched through everything we had, the cars, A&T's house, etc. I said a prayer that we'd find it & he canceled his business & personal cards just in case he'd dropped it in the walmart parking lot when he & Todd had gone there for a few minutes the night before. We couldn't find it & neither could the Fischer fam, so we headed home. Unloaded everything & guess what? It was in the bottom of one of the bags-that we'd checked about 3 times! Yay! We felt better about that & glad that the canceling of cards had been in vain!
We headed to the annual Peterson family party and had a good time there. The food was yummy, the company was great, and Grandma Marge & Grandpa Farrell were happy to see the boys. She gave Beckham a blanket, Grayson a pooh bear & pooh book, our family some food storage {apple juice-score!}, and me and Zac a great book about Joseph Smith that we are super excited to read together. The best part of her gifts are her poems & I love having that piece of her to keep forever.
After that Zac kept the boys so I could run into town for Bug's baptism. It was pretty cute because as she was going into the water her cousin Easton said, "Good luck Jacey!" Haha! They had pizza after because two cousins were baptized the same day, and all those fun grandkids running around made me think of the future with all the kids that are sure to come in our families. Crazy, but fun!
That night I got a pretty bad migraine & didn't get much sleep. I had an early morning meeting Sunday the second and still didn't feel well all through church. Everyone was sweet in Primary and understanding of my walking-through-a-haze moments. After church Zac was a sweetie and took the boys to his mom's so I could take a nap. I slept for 2.5 hours straight in a perfectly quiet house. It was incredibly blissful and when I woke up, I didn't have a headache anymore which was wonderful. Went to pick up the boys and enjoy the Cleaver clan for a while.
Monday the third was one of my favorite people's birthday. Candace! She is a blessing in my life & I am so grateful she was born. Wish we could have been with her to celebrate, but I got the next best thing by talking on the phone. Poor girl was sick on her big day, but still happy & sweet. During the day my dad brought over a full bed from the McCall house for the boys room. Grayson was totally excited to be upgrading from his toddler bed {he falls out almost every night}and I joked that it looks like we have an orphanage with all the beds we have in there! That evening we celebrated Zac's birthday with my side of the family. My parents are big birthday people & I love that. Zac's birthday always lasts about a week which is fun-especially since it's so close to Christmas. Mom made his favorite lasagna & she is hilarious with her cards to him & this year's said, "Sorry for the Weight" and on the inside there was a picture of a guy sitting on a seated calf raise machine {which was the gift that was on it's way} and Zac's head was glued onto the guys body. He didn't have a shirt on & was all muscly and it was totally funny. We were all cracking up and we are both excited to have a calf machine to add to the gym collection! Zac's mom was sick all day and still made him 2 pumpkin & 1 apple pie! and Dad made a chocolate sheet cake, so there was no shortage of yumminess going on! It was a great night celebrating a great man!
Tuesday the fourth was busy. I had a presidency meeting in the morning and the boys played with Amity in the nursery for the duration which was cute. Got home & cleaned/worked, etc., and got ready for the TSFL healthy weight night I was hosting in Ontario. Love that Jolts & Juice is so willing to let me use their conference room. The boys stayed at mom's since Zac was still at work and they had a great time. The info session went well and we just chilled when I got home.
Wednesday the fifth was a work day. Zac was in Boise all day and I worked from home. The boys got to spend several hours at Aunt Taylor's house which they {and I} loved. It's such a blessing having her close & I got a TON accomplished today which felt so nice! Dad Pete fixed our fireplace which feels so nice & the boys were mesmerized by it. Beckham received his first war wound by smacking right into the edge of Zac's speaker. Poor baby!
Thursday the sixth was another fun day. Me and the boys played in the morning and then Aunt Doll came over around 5 to babysit while Zac and I went out. Our first stop was the Marriott where my health coach was hosting a healthy weight night & he wanted me to share my experience, so we stopped and did that first which was fun. Then we headed to the Curb bar & Grill in Meridian to celebrate Matt's birthday. He turned 40 & it was quite the party! Zac and I weren't the only ones not drinking {except diet soda} at first, but as it got later we were, and it got more & more entertaining. We adore Matt & Jen and were glad we could celebrate this milestone with them. I even tried my hand at karaoke & that was a lot of fun. I sang Taylor Swift's, "Our Song," and loved it. M&J were hilarious and sweet and Zac and I were laughing the whole way home and talked a lot about how simple our lifestyle is & how we love that fact! And, I told him I thought we probably had the most fun because we'd remember everything the next day! It is fun to get dressed up & go out on occasion. Now to talk him into taking me dancing... (:
