After getting Gray's party done, I got into total organizational mode. Friday after seeing the chiropractor {my back has been killing me!}, I grabbed a couple key pieces to help in this project & then got home and while Zac was working in Boise, I built two shelves and had 3 big bags ready for DI. I got the DVD/entertainment hall closet done, the boys closet & clothes bins done, and our bedroom closet done. When Zac got home, he built Gray's train table & helped me tidy up the messes I'd made while cleaning {ironic, huh?}. First though, he said, "are you nesting?" I explained that you had to be pregnant {which I am not} to be nesting and usually it didn't happen till the third trimester. (: It felt awesome and trailed over into Saturday where I cleaned & organized more along with working on Cricket stuff with Zac. There is still a lot to do, but it's feeling doable. Each weekend we're just going to pick a project or two & finally get it really organized instead of just pretending it is. Then it will be easier to really keep it that way! At least that's the theory... (:
Saturday we also had Jaeger for a few hours while the guys were at a service project for a lady in our ward. I love this picture of the three boys because they are each in very distinct & different stages. Beckham is content to sit & wait for someone to hand him something. Jaeger eagerly stands but can't quite reach. Grayson is totally independent and willing to help the younger boys. They all played well together and enabled me to get lots done while they kept each other busy, which is always a plus.
While they boys played, I had put Bex in the portacrib in our room for his nap so the big boys wouldn't wake him up. A couple hours later, and after Jaeger had left, he woke up and I could hear him fussing & talking a little. I asked Grayson if he could go talk to him till I could come get him {I was elbow deep in soap in the sink}. He obliged and of course I was longer than I thought because they were quiet. When I creeped into check on them, I saw & heard Grayson reading to Beckham. They saw me and he told me "I just climbed in here to read to baby brother." Super sweet. I love these two boys & love these moments when they are getting along so well. {and they're worth enjoying because other times Grayson is throwing something in Beckham's face!}
We are supposed to be patching Grayson's eye every day for 2 hours. Notice I said "supposed to be." Yeah, I'm not the best mom in this area. Anyway, we're trying to be better & at least do every other day. It definitely helps to keep him busy & distracted for this time and he also likes having a timer around so he knows right when his time is up. By the way, my sweet & talented cousin Mandy has an amazing blog called "Not Just Cute," where she shares parenting/teaching tips that are simply awesome. She even recently wrote an e-book that is still on my list of books to buy & read. Anyway, she shared this post about these awesome timers quite a while ago, but I've kept them in my mind since then and I think I'll have to grab one sometime soon for Gray's patching times. Check out her blog for some great inspiration!

I totally agree. That is a priceless pictures and it is always tender when you see the sweet moments your kids have. maybe I need to get pregnant so I can nest. Because I do not have the motivation. haha
I loved that picture of the three boys too. Classic!!! SO so sweet. I'm jealous you organized and cleaned out. I need to redo that again. Maybe spring cleaning can come early to my house. Love you lots. (P.S. what did you do with your hair?)
