Whoopee, I'm 3!

Grayson, I can't believe you are three!  You are such a great kid & becoming so grown up and more amazing each day.  You bring such joy to our family & you have taught me so much about myself and about Heavenly Father by being who you are.  Here are some fun quirks & traits you have at age 3:

-You feel deeply.  When you're happy you are really happy & when you're sad or mad, you aren't afraid to let us know about it.
-You check on people & care about their feelings.
-You give compliments freely & sincerely.  You make us feel great about ourselves daily.  With that said, you have also been known to say, "I don't like you!"
-Great about using manners: thank you, please, excuse me, I'm sorry
-You are a very thankful child.  You tell me thank you for the smallest things, and often repeatedly.  You will say out of the blue things like, "Thank you for making my bed today Mom!  It looks so very nice!"
-You remind us to pray at each meal, you love helping with FHE, and you KNOW that Jesus & Heavenly Father love you.
-You are a little adult as far as talking & language are concerned.  It's been a little bit of a disadvantage for you because I find myself expecting so much out of you & forgetting that you are still little.

-You love to love, tease, wrestle with, & annoy your brother.  You love him and love to push your limits with him. (:  You can be quite the tease in general.
-You love Bob the Builder, Curious George, Mighty Machines, & are starting to like Arthur.
-You transferred to a big bed & love it.  You are a great sleeper, but sometimes wake up from bad dreams.
-You are incredibly sensitive.  We are super careful about what movies/tv shows/books you can see & hear about because you internalize everything.  We're just going with the flow on this one & teaching you that things aren't scary, but also respecting the fact that you aren't a fan of most disney movies yet.
-You love music, but dance like a white guy {you get that from both mom & dad!}
-You will do most anything to go to Grami's & Grandpa Alan's and Jaeger's house.  You also love going to Grandma Wendy & Grandpa Newells, Madelyn's, Rylee's, Aunt Taylor's, and Grandma Linda's.  You like Uncle Bob's house too.

-You love nursery & are happy to be the oldest kid in the place now
-You are incredibly independent, but also a nurturer.  You know just what you want and can be very stubborn.
-You are good about time outs, easily distracted, learn quickly from your mistakes, and willing to apologize when needed.
-You are funny.  You say things that totally crack me up and you watch to see my reaction.  I've got to continue writing them down, but they come with such regularity that I start forgetting!
-You are still a somewhat picky eater.  Apple juice is your drink of choice, but you love milk & water too.  You also like "soda."
-You can spell your name & tell everyone.  Most other words are also spelled G-R-A-Y-S-O-N. (:
-You throw fits & give lots of loves on a daily basis.
-Still not potty trained, but we're thinking about it.

-You have an incredible imagination & love playing with the Fischer price little people, Buzz & Woody, Thomas/trains, anything having to do with fireman/construction workers/farming/fixing things
-You are a great helper and are always willing to clean with me, fix things with daddy, & whatever I ask you to do.  Especially motivated when there is a timer going.
-It's a regular occurence to see you walking around with a construction hat or helmet on, carrying your tool box, with a phone charger cord loosely hung around your neck {not sure why, but you think this is essential}
-You have the best memory ever!  You can tell us in great detail about things that happened 1.5 years ago.  You will say things out of the blue that I've never mentioned to you & you know them.  You can sing several songs start to finish & remember things you hear, so if it's a ways off, we can't tell you. 

We love you Grayson and are so happy you decided to come to our family!  Some days we wonder what to do with you, but every day we don't know what we did without you.  I know it's going to be a great year for you & am so happy we get to watch you grow!
