Tuesday {15th} we had a little after the fact birthday photo shoot with Beckham. Just him, me, a blanket, some balloons, and a cupcake. Cutest boy ever. Totally love this kid. We also packed up the extra cake & cupcakes and made some deliveries. We visited Great Grandpa Farrell and Grandma Marge, dropped off some cupcakes to some primary friends we've been missing, and got home. Grayson wore his patch & danced like a crazy man for about 35 minutes straight-love this kid!
Wednesday {16th} Grayson hung out at Grandma Linda's today while Beckham and I ran errands and then went to visit Dr. Matt. This poor boy has been sick with something since the last week of January. He just can't seem to get over the yucky nose stuff, so I wanted to see if he had another sinus infection. Dr. Matt looked in his nose & said, "oh poor baby!" He said {for exaggeration purposes}, "A normal person's nasal passageway is about 5 inches. Someone with a cold goes down to 3 inches. Beckham's right now is about 1 inch & when he sleeps it's about 1/4 inch, so he barely has room to breathe at all! He said he thinks it's allergies {surprise, surprise!}, so he treated him with a nasal steroid, Nasonex. Sad news: takes about a week to see a difference, so a possibility of no sleep for Bex or mama for another week. I was just so glad to get a diagnosis & know that there was an end in sight! I hate seeing him suffer & he is the absolute most chill baby ever-even when sick-so I couldn't believe how congested he really was & just want him to be able to breathe better.
Thursday {17th} the kiddos got to play at Aunt Taylor's house while I went to Meridian. Had a great meeting, ran errands kid-free at Costco and Target, and loved it. Stopped by with a dozen of the best {m&w} donuts for my favorite teacher from high school, Mr. Smith, and his family. He'd recently torn his Achilles playing basketball, so is out for the count for a while. Crazily enough, I didn't know he had hurt himself when I had the prompting to take treats to their house & thought he'd be at school. As it turned out, he and Natalie were both home so I got to visit for a bit which was awesome. He had a huge impact on my life in high school & continues to be a source of inspiration. Got clients called & some training done, and then picked up my sweet boys. Grayson had planted an awesome "tree" at Taylor's and was pretty proud. My throat started hurting a bit late this afternoon...enough to make me call in & make an appointment for the next morning. Dang!
Friday {18th} I left the boys with dear Auntie Taylor again while I ran into the doctor's. Turns out I was totally hyper positive with strep throat. In his words, "Your throat is totally spicy red. I know without doing a test you have strep, but we'll make sure." Yep, as positive as both my pregnancy tests. (: I was hurting pretty bad by this point, and thankful for the z-pack he prescribed. Got home & Taylor and Talon kindly kept Grayson for me and Beckham & I came home to sleep. He napped well and so did I. I was feeling awfully yucky when I woke though & had a fever along with the strep. My sweet husband called his mama unbeknownst to me and she showed up to grab both boys for a couple hours till he got home from Boise. I climbed into the tub and tried {unsuccessfully} to get warm. Slept more, read some in my book, and slept some more. Tried eating anything, but my throat hurt so badly I couldn't do it. Zac grabbed the boys & dropped them at my parents for Kelsey's birthday party and swung by the house to check on me real quick before going to celebrate with everyone. He had sweetly gotten chicken noodle soup & a beautiful boquet of gerbera daisies on his way home and they totally brightened my night. Such a sweet gesture & the soup was just what my throat needed. He left to join the family fesitivities & I was bummed I missed Kelsey's party, but hope she knows I love her more by not spreading strep around. (: The guys got home & the boys went to bed and so did we.
Saturday {19th} Taylor {super aunt} showed up again & stole Beckham for several hours. Zac had to deliver payroll around the valley & took Grayson with him for an all day date. I slept a LOT. Taylor dropped Bex at my mom's in the early afternoon and she kept him till the early evening when Zac picked him up and all my boys came home. I was so thankful for the help of our families and the blessing of having them all close by & willing. I felt so blessed. Grayson had a great day with his dad. They delivered payroll {he slept on the way over & during the delivery process}, got lunch at Carl's Junior, and then visited Uncle Ryan at the fire-station in Boise. He got the full blown tour of the fire hall, got to sit in the firetruck, and absolutely loved every second. He is absolutely fascinated/obsessed/in love with/smitten by firetrucks/firefighters/fires, etc., so this was a dream come true for him. I received a detail by detail account of the entire experience when he got home and he's since asked to go back, prayed for Uncle Ryan & his firehouse several times, and regaled us with stories of fire-halls. He cracks me up daily and I'm so glad he and Zac had such a great day. And that my husband is such a good one. He does more to help than I can even express and never complains. He's such a great one. I headed to bed right after the boys & slept pretty well.
Sunday {20th} I was supposed to teach sharing time. The previous day I had called a few women to ask if they could sub in last minute for me and couldn't get a hold of anyone. I ended up calling my 2nd counselor, Annette, who had just gotten home from helping her daughter move and she still said that of course she'd do it. That woman is incredible. She calls me several times a week to check in and see if there is anything she can do to help me and I appreciate that so much. She's willing to go above and beyond and the past month when I've been sick so many times, she's brought soup, medicine, and gatorade to me. Such a sweet woman. I aspire to be more like her. I stayed home and kept Beckham with me. Gray and Zac went to church. We ate lunch at Pete's place afterward and then came home for naps/rest/reading time. Chilled here for a few hours and then headed over to visit Z's folks. They are totally redoing their kitchen and it was crazy how much of a difference it made just having the wall torn down between the kitchen & living room. We are excited to see the finished project and the boys had a great time playing & visiting. I was feeling much better tonight, thankfully. Hopefully this is the end of our sickness for a while, but I'm not counting on anything. (:
After we got Gray in bed, Zac made himself a milkshake. Beckham loves to be anywhere Zac is & loves to watch anyone making food. Even though it's just a milkshake & it's easy to make, I love watching Zac in the kitchen...no matter what he's doing. I think it's sexy. Love him.

Loved the catch up and truly hope you get feeling better soon. You do have amazing family who is willing to help but you're one of them. They way you serve each other amazes me and I try hard to pattern my life like yours.
Glad you and the boys are finally feeling a lot better. And hoping that Jaeger can get over his yukkiness soon, too. All of the mamas (and daddies) are more than ready, I know.
I love that look that Beckham gives with his eyes (the one that says, "You could never get upset with this face, could you?") Such a good soul. And I cracked up at the pic of Grayson with his "friends" sitting in the kitchen chair...he has such an imagination, that kid! Gotta love all of them!
I sure hope that you are feeling better! SO sorry you have been so sick. You sure do have an amazing support system there! I also hope Mr. Cute Beckham gets to feeling better as well! Love the pictures and the updates! So cute about Grayson and the Fire trucks. Love you!
