The boys LOVE helping me unload & load dishes. Beckham loves it so much that he gets completely offended when I shut the door to start it. He cries as if I'd just beat him. For a kid who rarely cries for anything-even serious pain-it's quite comical. Grayson just loves to clean anytime he can & I love to allow it. He asks to pour or spray water & wipe it up on a daily basis, so I try to let him when it doesn't make too big a mess!
Some days you just need to put your toys on top of the coffee table & sit on them to watch a show. With your sunglasses on of course. Isn't that how you watch movies? This kid is so funny!
One day {Wednesday} we decided to make banana bread with our extremely brown bananas & take them to some people as thank yous for being so good to us. I'm really trying to instill gratitude into Grayson's little being because I know how much we have & want him to never take for granted the fact that he was born into the family/country/area he was. He is a pretty compassionate & service minded little soul & loved the idea. He also loved trying out the chocolate chip version himself first. Notice the extremely shaggy manes on both my sweet boys?...
We headed on over to Aunt Kelsey's to get haircuts a while after the bread was done. Gotta admit I didn't think Beckham looked that different until I compared before & after pictures! Grayson looks totally goofy because I have her go completely buzz {she used a 1 on Gray & a 6 on Bex!}, but he hates having it done so it's easier just to go really short & far between cuts. They both did really well this time-especially Beckham who laughed & just tried to find Kelsey the whole time. She did awesome considering he was so wiggly! Thank you Aunt Kelsey for being our hairdresser!
Took dinner to the Fischer four on Thursday night & got my Ella & Wren fix for another day. They are such sweet girls with a great mama & daddy too. Friday morning I ran to Doc Page's and he treated me for a sinus infection which wasn't blossomed all the way yet, but I could feel it coming on. Love that sweet man & the fact that he creates health sometimes rather than treating sickness! Friday night Taylor & Talon invited us to dinner & we were eager to get out of the house. It seems as though someone in our household {mainly me & Beckham} have been sick the entire month of February and Zac and I haven't had any real dates in a while. The boys spent the evening at Cleaver's and we ate at the Garage Cafe which has a great atmosphere. The company was even better. (: The boys had a great time and other than Grayson throwing a fit & calling Grandma Wendy a "mean grandma" at the end, it was a successful evening. I told her not to be offended because I am awarded the "mean mom" title on a daily basis. Multiple times. In fact it was happening so often that we started flicking his lip each time the words "mean" and anything else came out. Now he's more careful....
For instance, Saturday Grayson pulled all these items out and told me he was building a robot costume. Great ingredients for one, don't you think? Imagination is the best thing ever. However, when Beckham decided he wanted in on the fun, Grayson pushed him aside and said, "You mm..." I knew he was about to say "mean Beckham" and said, "Don't say it." He said, "You curious!" Like it was the worst insult ever! Totally cracked me up inside. At least he's working on it, right? And he did make quite a cute little robot, too.
Totally in love with Beckham's dazed & skinny "just woke up look." I am completely smitten with this baby & even though he is cruising along everything to get everywhere, he is still our little baby.
Zac spent a lot of time cleaning out his electronics & organizing on Saturday {yes our kitchen is still torn up...till next Monday!...and the fans are still loudly blaring.} Grayson had a blast pretending to be a pilot & an instruction worker.
This kid can get anywhere now. He is stealthy. Fast & quiet. Then you will realize you haven't seen him in a while & I'll find him getting into mischief. He is uber cute, though, that's for sure and when told no, just laughs & shakes his head. Hmm...gotta work on our mean factor, apparently!
Along with all this, we've had little sleep, lots of coughing, runny noses, meetings, phone calls, work time, and exciting changes happening in both our businesses, along with instilling a new bedtime rule of no drinks in bed ever. Hard times the first night, but he woke up dry the next morning & each morning since, so I'm hoping a month of that & we'll be ready to just potty train. I'm dragging my feet since we may be out of town the first weekend in April. And, it's my birthday week. And, I just plain don't want to do it. I know it's inevitable though, so pray for us! (: We really are just grateful to get to be together and enjoy these fast-flying days & amazing kiddos.
