mostly kid stuff

January 1st: I went to my early morning meeting & then to church by myself while all my sickie boys stayed home.  I left them like this & they watched movies & rested the whole time I was gone.  The whole day was super chill.  Toward the end of the night the boys were going stir crazy, so we made up a game for them to play under the temporary table in the kitchen.  I LOVE times when they are best friends and get along so well.  Beckham is always up for being buddies, but Gray is off & on. They played & ate cheetos together for a while, laughing the whole time.  I also made two chicken pot pies today which is always enjoyable.  We read scriptures as a family per our new 2012 family goal.

January 2nd: This morning I was so thankful for the boys flexibility.  I didn't get up before them to walk on the treadmill, so did it while they were just barely up.  They sat together on the rocking chair & watched PBSkids while I walked & read my scriptures for 30 minutes.  They got along fabulously and were so patient waiting for me to be done to attend to their needs.  It set the tone for my day & allowed me more patience with them, too.  Today during Beckham's nap, Gray chilled with Zac while I ran the extra pot pie into Huls' because Amber & girls were sick.  They were supposed to catch a plane to Minnesota on the 1st, but they were all to sick, so they postponed it a few days till the 4th.  I was happy for a couple extra chances to spend time together.  I dropped the pot pie off & we chatted for a bit and she got to sit in the pickup & we talked.  I left and missed her and she hadn't even left yet. T&T came over for a while in the late afternoon/early evening & I helped her with some pictures.  We love having them randomly stop by & spend time here.

That evening I wanted to capture our scripture reading routine.  Grayson is eating it up.  Zac & I use our standard works and Beckham uses a boardbook of My first Book of Mormon {he is a serious book ripper-weird because Gray never was}, and Grayson uses Brick of Mormon stories.  {So happy a friend turned me on to that-he eats it up & we just do one story a night from that & it follows along exactly with the verses in the Book of Mormon, but just does one short story at a time.  It's perfect for where we're at right now.  Loving it.  After the boys were in bed, Zac listened to his ipod & I worked on our blog side by side on the couch.  Lovely times.

January 3rd: Beckham insists on having Zac's old school {from 1977} Star Wars figures with him EVERYwhere he goes.  He loves having them at every meal, too.  He carries on conversations with them, can say both their names, and shares things with them.  He's fairly gentle with them too, which makes Zac happy. We enjoy homemade juice popsicles around here.  Winter?  Who said?  And, we always start the day with clothes & end it with hardly anything.  Gray loved playing playdo during Beckham's nap & it allowed me time to get some laundry/home productive stuff done.  He is good about keeping it on the table & I love listening to his imagination.  I even got 30 minutes on the treadmill while he entertained himself. I got a nice conversation with Candace today which always helps me put mommy stuff in perspective because she always has such a great attitude.  And, Lance & Kelsey found out they are having a BOY!  Yay for more boys in the family!  Another boy cousin to love on.  We are so excited!  We kinda like Jaeger, so know that this next little dude will be just as adorable.  She is due in May {I thought I'd posted about her being pregnant, but someone said I hadn't, so I couldn't remember.  We are VERY excited for her!}

After naptime, the boys were restless & admittedly, so was I.  I pumped up the Katy Perry Pandora station and let the boys have a dance party on the table & videoed it with the photobooth on my computer.  They loved watching themselves & I loved having it on video.  They were cracking me up & we all danced for 45 minutes before slowing down a bit.  Such a fun break up to our day!  At the end I asked them to "strike a pose" and the last picture is what I got.  They make me laugh every day.  I sure like em!

January 4th: Ran to the doc with Zac {more on that in the doctor post coming soon}, had a breakdown to Zac {more on that in an Amber post}, and Zac took a nap when we got home for a bit.  T&T came over so the guys could lift & Taylor & I loved on the two cutest boys & we had a nice relaxing evening at home.  After the boys were in bed Zac & I enjoyed watching Community & laughing so stinking hard!

So I have to say Beckham is really looking grown up. So cute! I love those two boys. I have been feeling SO bad about you being so sick. I think it's God's way of telling you to slow down and even come to visit. JK but really wish I lived closer and could help you out. Love you and miss you like crazy. P.S. We started Psych this weekend and are hooked. Thanks!
