Last year for Mother's Day, my dad gave my mom {and all his girls} a night out together. We finally-just in the nick of time-made it happen. It was a blast! Taylor, Kelsey & I left around noon on Friday the 13th & met my mom and Doll at the mall. We had a great time looking around, enjoying each other, laughing, and shopping. We ate a delicious dinner at PF Chang's {and laughed so hard there, too}, wandered around Urban Outfitters & Target, and headed to our posh, two room hotel suite. Mom gave us adorable "gift bags," which was so sweet. She thinks of everything & has set the bar super high for me to follow with my kids.
We crashed around 11 & had a good, kidless night of sleep.
Meanwhile, Zac was home with the boys while we were gone & so sweet
to keep them overnight for me. He spent the evening with them at his
dad's since his mom was visiting Morgan in Texas. Lyla was there too,
and the boys had a ball playing with her and Papa Newell. They even
sent me some cute videos. There was a freaky moment when Zac "tracked
my iphone" and I got a message in Target that said, "I know where you
are." Um, scary! It had the effect he was going for.
We headed back early Saturday morning and were so thankful for the chance to have that time together before Kelsey had her baby & another Mother's day passed us by.
It was Uncle Bob's 60th birthday Friday, so I spent some time getting his day late gift ready. Included was this book that had me laughing pretty hard. We are SO thankful Uncle Bob was born. He has done so many things for me and my little family and I love him so much. He is a man of sincere integrity and is a great leader. He doesn't get complacent and is always striving to become better. He loves my kids and the feeling is mutual.
Zac offered to take the boys to the farm for a couple hours this afternoon so I could get some catch up housework done & run a couple small errands. I marveled at the man I am married to. I had just had a fun girl's night out and he was still finding ways to help and serve me. He is so incredible. I try not to take him for granted.
I met up with them at my folks where the boys were adoring a wild rabbit Zac had caught. We opened the trap & Beckham loved petting it. Then, we let it go and it was the best entertainment ever! They chased the rabbit everywhere {poor thing!} and had a ball. At one point Grayson was running and said, "This is the funnest day ever! Catching a rabbit!" We left after a while and took a drive as a family before ending up home for bed. Good good times.

How fun for you and your sisters & Mom. I agree your Mom is incredible and although she has set the bar high I think you are doing a great job meeting and exceeding expectations. Kelsey hasn't had her baby yet right? I would think you'd put something on FB but just want to make sure. Glad you too have a rabbit friend. Even if yours was short lived. :)
