We celebrated Bex birthday last Monday night. Guests of honor were: us, G&G Peterson, G&G Cleaver, Great G&G Leavitt, Doll, Taylor and Talon, and Lance, Kelsey & Jaeger. Pretty casual. (:
We went with bright colors as a theme and it came together pretty cute. I loved the felt circle streamers, the month by month banner of his first year {thanks to my friend Athena for this idea}, and of course, the birthday boy was the best part. We just had chocolate sheet cake {courtesy my sweet parents} and cupcakes/ice cream & soda for the eats, and everyone visited & hung out after watching the sweet boy open presents & LOVE his cupcake/cake/ice cream. He wasn't sure about the cupcake at first, but after Grami got a little taste in his mouth, he was all out intensive. Totally loved it. And the bath that came afterward too.
He really just wanted to crawl or walk a few steps to whoever would squeeze & pay attention to him. He didn't have any interest in the presents & it's a good thing because Grayson took over & loved it. He kept saying the funniest things with each gift too. At one point he said {after unwrapping the gift himself-that he had just helped me wrap a few hours before}, "Wow, Beckham! Look what you got! That was so nice of us!" Haha. He acted totally surprised at each gift & Bex just smiled sweetly the whole time. Beckham is definitely easygoing and just lets Grayson rule him, for sure. He got some fun stuff & we are grateful for the support of great family & friends and mostly for this amazing little guy who blesses our home on a daily basis! {by the way, I took hardly any pictures-crazy me!}

What a super picture Karli! I really like it too. You are completely exposed and all that shows is goodness. You've grown inside since I was last on your blog and it shows. You have a great little family of your own and are still surrounded by that huge extended family...don't know why you'd want to go to "Heaven"...seems like you're in the middle of it now.

And Beckham's party was just right. The highlight was watching him devour that cupcake!
Can't believe this sweet little boy is a year old already. Glad that you had such a fun time celebrating as family the blessing of this little man. Grayson is just like Greg with the gifts. He did the same thing on Katelyn's birthday Sunday afternoon. He was sorely disappointed when there were toys to be found in any of the boxes. Love the banner idea with the pictures, super cute. I will have to remember that one. Love you.

Happy Birthday, Beckham! I just finished reading about Lyndin's birthday festivities, and then got to recap on Beckham's. So fun that you and Candace have babes the same age. It's so hard for me to believe that they've been on this earth for a full year, though! Beckham is adorable. His sweet smile is to die for. I'm glad the birthday celebration went well.
