More October fun

10.25: Tuesday we woke up & got ready and then drove down the road so Zac could attend a Corporate Cricket meeting.  I dropped him off and was the first person at Target when it opened.  That is a great feeling. (:  I leisurely looked around, got a few things, and enjoyed not having to rush or get anything in particular.  I got Zac a muffin and some hot chocolate and picked him up after his meeting.  We dropped his car off to be serviced and walked to another meeting with our insurance guys.  It was a nice lunch meeting where I realized how much I enjoy eating with men because they don't care if you're messy. (:  Afterward, we were leaving the building and I had on slippery flat shoes and totally biffed it.  It hurt and I was kinda scraped up, but it was more embarrassing.  Sheesh!
We got Zac's car and called Taylor to tell her we were heading home.  She said they were keeping the boys to take them to the pumpkin patch and then invited us over for dinner that evening and we could just pick them up then.  She is so great, I tell you!  So we went home and took a nap!  It was so wonderful to get an hour of such great sleep!  We both got some work done after that and then went to T&T's for dinner and to love on our sweet boys.  They didn't really care about seeing us too much, but Gray told us all about his two days and showed us his pumpkin.  We made & ate a delicious fajita dinner and the guys played xbox for a bit.  We got home and all hit the beds pretty early.
10.26: After preschool today, Courtney picked Grayson up for me.  When I grabbed him a while later, Max said, "I wanna keep Grayson!"  It was adorable.  Grayson LOVES Max and told me how happy he was when Max's mommy was the one to pick him up.  He thinks Max has the greatest toys and house and everything.  He especially loves dressing up with Max and the fact that Max has stairs.  Ha!  I appreciated her picking him up on such short notice and am glad those two are friends.

10.28: Friday I threw Morgan's bridal shower and it went off well.  We had a good turnout, yummy refreshments {thank you Pinterest for two great recipes added to my list!} and nice visiting.  Morgan is a sweetie and will make a great wife.  We cleaned up, I had a great talk with my sweetie, and I headed to our Primary Program practice.  It went considerably better than the previous Sunday, so I felt good about that.  The kids are so incredible.  We fed them pizza and pop and sent them home around 2.  Kelsey had kept my boys all morning/afternoon and I appreciated that so much.  Gray loves Jaeger and I know they are well taken care of and loved there.
I picked Gray up {Z had taken Bex home to nap} and we ran into town to visit Amber & Ella who were taking care of Tracy because she'd had surgery.  I love that family.  We visited for a while and the kids were enamored with each other, as usual.  So cute.  We didn't stay long, but it was a good enough fix for a bit. (:
We got home and cleaned and played.  Taylor came over at 4 to make white chicken chili and I helped her.  We chatted lots during that & the boys made huge messes in their newly cleaned room. (:  Around 6:30 when we went to T&T's to carve pumpkins and eat dinner.  I had debated going and was thinking about just saying home, but I'm glad we got out.  The boys had a blast.  Talon started a bonfire to burn some of their stuff and all the guys stayed out there and the little boys LOVED it.  Megan carved Gray's pumpkin with {read: for} him and he loved he for it.  It was so cute!  L&K came, Becks, Frahms, and May's.  We ate and visited for a bit and then brought the boys home to bed.  Z & I watched Captain America and I fell asleep during the last 45 minutes which rarely happens, so I was super tired.

10.29: Got lots of deep cleaning done today, finished some last minute stuff for the primary program, read a bit in my current novel, and played with the littles.  While Beckham napped & Zac worked, Gray and I ran to town.  On the way home Becca asked if we'd stop by to help her with some computer stuff, so I did.  The boys were in Heaven playing together and when I got ready to go she asked Grayson if he'd like to stay.  Of course he jumped all over that offer and after a potty break & a hug, he was ready to go.  So happy he could have that time with Treyce.  I got home and finished cleaning and soon after Beckham woke up, Matt, Jen, and Cameron held good to their promise and showed up to help us with our books. We visited, got to work & got LOTS done which felt awesome.  We have seriously felt like we have been drowning in paperwork and they showed us piles and piles of stuff we could burn that we don't have to keep!  And, they took piles and piles to scan into digital file folders for us and then we will shred the hard copies.  Hallelujah!  Wow.  That lightened the load a bit.  I made steaks and onions for dinner with a bit salad and everything tasted yummy.  Bec brought Gray home around 7 and he had had a wonderful time.  He yelled out as she was leaving, "I'll see you tomorrow!"  Then to me, "I told her I can come over anytime for Treyce, k mom?"  Love that kid.  He is not comfortable with just anyone, so if he loves coming to your house that much, it's a privilege. (:

He was super happy to find Cameron here too, and spent the next hour playing with him all over.  Cam is amazing with the boys and entertains them the entire time we meet.  He also offers to help me set the table, wash dishes, clean up, etc.  M&J are doing a great job with him.  He's a great kid.  We got through everything about 9:30 and they headed home.  So grateful for them.

10.30: Today was the primary program.  I was so nervous!  I knew the kids would do great, but it was my first time writing the program and I was hoping it would all flow and that the whole thing would just go smoothly.  I sat up front and had tears in my eyes the entire time.  They did wonderfully.  They astounded me with their memorization skills, their beautiful singing, and their incredibly reverence.  Many kids had been given instructions to give a 1-2 minute talk using a prompt.  Nothing more.  They all did a beautiful job & taught me the gospel.  So awesome.  I'm so glad it's over. (:  Afterward in primary I totally broke down telling them how pleased I was and how much I love them.  We had had the members of the congregation write the children notes during the program to be read to the kids afterward.  Definitely a cool tradition.  The last one I read said, "I enjoy hearing from those who I feel are Heavenly Father's favorite spirits."  That put me over the edge because I'm sure it's true.  I'm sure the little kids are Heavenly Father's favorites.  They are so special.  I am so blessed to be in the primary right now.  I love those kids.  It was a great Sabbath.
After church we enjoyed a great lunch at Pete's place, went home for naps & reading, had a sweet visit from our home teacher, Mark, and then headed to Becca's house for dinner and games.  She and I brainstormed a project I was working on for Morgan's reception and laughed a ton and Zac entertained and played with the kids.  They absolutely adore him.  They all cuddle up to him, hug him, and are ecstatic when he can "play" with them.  I love it.  They so need that.  He has been a great figure for them.  Such a good night with the Houston gang and then we left and headed to show Morgan the "guest book" I had come up with for her.  It's pretty fun, I think.  She liked it-phew-and we visited for a little while and came home for bed.  Such a good day!
