May 14th brought us Grayson's preschool graduation. I kept telling him it was his first of two, since he'll be going to Miss Krissy's again this Fall. Good practice, though.
He LOVED preschool. Every single day. He loved Miss Krissy, having Max & Amity in his class, making some new friends, and all the things he learned. He disliked writing letters {he thought it was boring}, and didn't care for the singing in front of parents stuff.
Graduation was much what I expected. He was adamant about having Beckham with him and wanted to show him everything. He was excited to see his friends, but had warned us ahead of time that he wouldn't be singing the songs because, "I don't like people staring at me." He held true to his promise. He was well behaved & quiet as usual, but only sang about ten words the entire time. It looked like it was painful for him to be in front of all the parents! Totally cracked me up. I know it's totally out of his comfort zone to be front & center, so I'm just proud that he will go up there & put up with it. Zac empathizes because he says he was just like that as a kid and still doesn't love being the center of attention, so I try to be understanding. It's a foreign concept for me since I generally like being in the spotlight. (;
After Miss Krissy awarded graduation medals, certificates, and little stuffed bears, we all went outside for cupcakes & visiting. We appreciated those who came to support Grayson: Papa Newell & Grandma Wendy, Grandpa Alan & Grami Tami, Taylor & Jaeger. Took some pictures, then Grayson got to go home with Grami & play with Jaeger for a bit. He was pretty excited about that. We gave him Toy Story 2 & a Curious George graduation book and are so proud of the great little man he is. I've definitely seen growth in him throughout the year. We love you, Goose!
A couple weeks later on May 27th, our youngest sister, Aunt Doll, graduated from high school! I cannot believe this amazing and incredible girl who I completely adore is old enough to be done with high school & leaving home. {She's going to BYU-I this Fall}. She has a big piece of my heart and we will all miss her so much. I've loved the way our relationship is changing as we get older and hope she settles somewhere close to home in the future so we can continue to become even better friends. She is a complete Doll, just like her name implies. She walked with her best friend, Keri, and also with a boy she tutors at school who has some disabilities. We didn't know she would be walking with him, so I teared up when she came through because it's so like Doll. She has a compassionate heart and a love for others. She is one of the very funniest people I know with a fantastic sense of humor. She loves my boys, has a tender & neat relationship with Zac, and is one of my favorite people. Not to mention, she's completely gorgeous.
Mom's camera was almost dead at graduation & none of us had brought ours, so Zac kindly ran out of the ceremony & ran home to grab my big camera. He hurried back and ran it inside just in time. Nyssa is notorious for their short ceremonies and this was no exception, but we caught her. Phew! Got lots of pics afterward and just love this sweet girl so so much. Good luck Doll!

Two of the cutest graduates ever. Gray looked adorable and I love his sweet personality. I'm personally in love with Doll because of all the kind things you say about her. I kept thinking what a compliment to her all your kind words you say about her ALL the time. Then I couldn't help but think....she's like you!
I agree with Candace! They are definitely two of the cutest! And I had the exact reaction when I saw her walk in with Ryan by her side. She really does have such a tender heart and has a way of reaching out to others. That was a hard day for this mom watching our "baby"
graduate. And Zac is such a sweetheart for dashing home to get your camera. I was so mad at myself for not making sure my camera was charged and he was so willing to make it work! He's a good one!
