1. Gave Baby Beckham his first bath at home on Sunday. Grayson was pretty concerned at first and kept saying, "What's baby brudder doing?" Beckham LOVED it though, and that made Grayson feel better too. I am in LOVE with this face!
2. Sunday was a toughie. Definitely our hardest day yet. We were home all morning/afternoon and I was so tired and needed a nap. Grayson fought his nap and was crying for me and I finally just burst into tears and when he said, "I want you to hold me!", I said, "Well I wanted a nap and I didn't get one!" and he looked at me and said-while looking very concerned & kind of mad-"what's mama doing?" He's never seen me break down like that & I felt pretty bad about it, but also felt so tired & unable to stop myself. Finally we got a hold of ourselves and cuddled on the couch.

3. That night we celebrated Kelsey's 22nd' birthday. She is such a great addition to our family and I'm grateful to have her as a sister.

It was a MUCH-NEEDED getaway for me and the boys (Zac unfortunately had a meeting in Boise), and I am glad we went. Yummy roast & potatoes dinner & cake for dessert.

Kelsey was kind enough to let Gray help her open her gifts and both he and I were in much better spirits for our bedtime routine when we got home that night. Lance is a patient and loving uncle & Gray loves playing piano with him. Lance took pictures of Beckham & Gray's diapers-crazy the difference! And, Mom and Dad Pete with their three grandsons-they sure love being grandparents & do an awesome job at it!

4. I'm thankful kids are so resilient and forgiving.

5. Monday was an exciting day for Brian & Candace & Jhett! Their new little addition was born and Bri & Candace got to be there with the birth mom through it all.
Lyndin Hope was born in the afternoon and is absolutely beautiful.

It's amazing to me how girl babies look feminine right from the start! Such a sweetie and she could not have been born to a more loving home. So excited for them!
6. Today Kylee & Greg came to visit us. It was fun to talk with her and let the boys catch up a little bit. 2 year old boys are certainly BUSY! They kept us on our toes, but had fun together and cleaned up their messes when they were done.

7. While Gray napped today, I fed Beckham and read a book. Then I laid down. About ten minutes later Grayson decided he wanted to be awake. I told him I was going to lay down for a little longer and he needed to play with his toys in his room quietly....and he did. Pretty darn well, too. For almost an hour! I was so thankful for this tender mercy. Also, when I looked over earlier this morning, I noticed this sight. When I asked Gray what he was doing, he said, "just holding baby brudder's hand." So sweet.

8. Tonight Tom & Becca brought us a yummy dinner & came to see the boys. They are so thoughtful & Becca had made the boys matching blankets which will be well loved, I'm sure! Plus two favorite shows were on tonight & that is always a plus.
9. Got
this movie in the mail today from Netflix. I didn't see it in the theaters, so I'm excited to watch it. Thinking I should grab the first Twilight movie to watch again with Zac since he wants to see the second and only saw parts of the first. Hopefully it doesn't veer away from the book too badly.
10. We could all use a little bit more of this these days! (:

Your boys are so sweet - I bet it's hard with two! Keep it up, and I hope you (and all your boys) get lots and lots of sleep! What are the two favorite shows that you watched tonight - could one of them be Lost? Just curious because we LOVE that show! Guess what we are coming up for the weekend - maybe we could see you and your sweet baby?
Yeah! I am so glad you posted. I was kinda worried that you wouldnt for a long while since you posted such a long one previously. So happy to read your ten on tuesday! You are doing great. I can relate to wanting to nap and it totally not going your way. I wish I were around to take your non-sleeper for a while so that you can get some sleep. I will call you next week and let you know when I will stop by, make sure it works for you!. Oh and the picture with Gray holdong the babys hand is adorable. Ryker has always been a baby hand holder. I love it!
I just realized you are very good at taking pictures.
I think it is cute that Grayson is such a hand holder. Thanks for the birthday present again I loved it. You are amazing and I always love to cuddle both of your boys. (Grayson and Beckham....just in case....haha)
Loved the post. I love how sweet the boys are together and what sweet parents they have. I'm grateful to see you are adjusting quite well. Heck I had really bad days with 1. Love you so mcuh!
Karl, I'm so proud of you. Beckham is a doll. I can't stop looking at his face...I know everyone has their opinion's, but he definitely looks like a Peterson. I am amazed that you are already out and about, going on little adventures. You are a super mom :)
you have 2 such sweet looking boys! How cute of Grayson to hold Beckham's hand! Sleep is a tough one, but it will get better, but you already know that! You are such a great person and a wonderful mom!
What are you doing blogging? Go take a nap?! Just kidding. I'm glad that things are going well for you guys.
He is SOOO dang cute!! LOVE his name too. (I think I remember you talking about that name last summer) Glad to read your posts! Two is an adjustment, but it's manageable....I still think that about Brielle----she just hangs out so much more in the bouncy chair, or has to wait her turn for what she needs. They come with a bit more patient personalities I think the farther down the line they are! Glad things went so well for you delivering. My week# 2 of nursing was always my hardest...hope yours in easier than mine!!!! But you are a pro at that! Keep taking it day by day & using your family nearby---that is such a blessing! (one I always wished I had, especially with a newborn!) Love you tonzzzz!
