has passed us by! I told Zac my days go by SO much more quickly since having two kids. I feel like we just get up and get going and it's time to get in bed again! I love it, but also hate that time is speeding by so fast. I do love the stages we're in right now {99% of the time} so I'm trying to just enjoy it while it lasts! We had a great week. Here are some highlights:
--Zac got to work from home a lot which was awesome. I was so proud of him for dressing up each day as if to go into the stores so he'd be in the right mindset. Then he was so productive-even with our somtimes interruptions. We are seriously looking for a way to make a home office space somewhere because it's not realistic to have our business piled up on our dining room table anymore & have him working between our locked bedroom & the kitchen/garage/pantry! (: He does a great job though & it was nice to see him a little more often-it only for a week.
--Grayson enjoyed putting one of our bank deposit bags on his head and playing for over an hour. I think he looks so silly & he loved it.
--Aunt Taylor came home for a spring break visit & brought us delicious cupcakes from the sweet tooth fairy, clothes for the boys, and a fun shirt/tank for my birthday. She definitely spoils us! Thanks Taylor! She came over for a minute the night she got in to drop the stuff off and to cuddle Beckham since Gray was already in bed. She is a sweetie & we are glad to have her home for a week.

--Aunt Laurie & Uncle Larry were here with their four cute kids & they came to see Beckham and visit with us. They are such a sweet couple and it actually ended up being just what we needed at that time. Larry & Zac had a great talk and I enjoyed watching the kids with my boys & visiting with my sweet aunt. Their boys are so patient with Grayson and he adores following them around and talking to them.
--Our good friend & main Cricket competitor, Tony, came to visit at our house for the first time and to have a business meeting. He is going to be a grandpa for the first time in a few weeks and it was very apparent he'll be a great one. Grayson LOVED him! He kept asking for Tony after he left. So sweet. We are grateful to have such a good working relationship with our competition.
--I left Grayson with Taylor and took Beckham to Amber's where we ordered in yummy japanese food & enjoyed time together for her birthday. The night previous I had found this binder which houses every note/card/letter that Amber wrote to me through middle & high school. Such a priceless treasure! We were laughing so hard as we were reading through them. I left it with her so she could read some more. She has all the stuff I wrote to her as well, so we want to scan them all onto a DVD or something! She mentioned how lucky we are to even have access to the things we wrote because we are still such good friends where most people only have the things that they received. So grateful she was born and glad we had a few hours together.
--Grayson got to play with Aunt Taylor & Caitlyn because Taylor was also watching her. He gets along with her great and she is a sweet little girl.
--Grandpa Alan {& Taylor} taught Grayson the proper way to hold a gun while shooting gophers & other animals on a game Taylor has...Not sure how I feel about this one, but we have been talking about gun safety and he has been good about grasping the concept of not pointing guns at people, not shooting anything real, and that "only Papa Alan & Uncle Lance can hold real guns."
PS: those foil-wrapped things on the counter are a LOT of ribs that Dad bbq'd for dinner that night & they were DELICIOUS!
--Had MUCH snuggling & cuddling time between brothers. Definitely love the relationship these two are developing. I took a shower one day and had Gray watch a movie on my bed while Beckham was in the little crib in there. When I got out, Gray was just standing at the side of the crib talking to Bex and giving him his pacifier. It's hilarious because Beckham rarely takes his plug on the first try from me and Z, but always takes it first thing from Grayson...almost like he knows he'll be poked until he takes it from him! (: Another day when I left them in the same room for a few minutes and came back, I said to Grayson, "Was Beckham good?" He said, "He was just talkin to me." I said, "What did he say?" In a little baby sad voice he said, "I want mommy!" So funny!

--Had a great {but always too quick} visit from Eric & Liz. They are great friends and so easy to have and entertain because they are just happy with anything. We actually took advantage of both nights they were here and the boys were in bed by talking between the four adults till late in the night. It was the highlight of their trip for both me and Zac and we appreciate their willingness to always listen and validate us. Grayson fell in love with Eric and loved their time playing on their bed, in his room, and anywhere else. They will both make great parents! We're grateful they'd spend some of their spring break visiting us.

--Enjoyed all four sessions of conference with my boys. I felt especially touched this conference and felt that there were a lot of talks focused on parenting and our relationships with our kids. I was so uplifted and edified and have already re-listened to several of the talks online with Zac. The boys did awesome! Beckham spent his time sleeping or being loved on by us & family members and Grayson spent his time playing on the floor with tractors, being completely taken in every time the Mo-tab choir would sing, and sitting with Madelyn at Cleaver's house. At the end of each talk, no matter what he was doing, he always chimed in with a hearty AMEN, and he really was so well behaved.

--Gray enjoyed waking up to his Easter bucket from the Easter bunny Saturday. He loves to shovel & rake and keeps saying, "When it gets to be mama's summertime we'll shovel in the dirt outside!" I don't know why he calls it my summertime, but it's cute! He didn't care for the candy except for the PEZ which he was loving. And, he loved his little flashlight that works with batteries or by hand power.
--Saturday night was spent visiting with Cleaver's and then at my folks house while the guys were at the priesthood session. We ate yummy Mexican food afterward and brought the boys home for bed. Zac enjoyed chatting with Louis & Josh on Skype for a couple hours after we got home and I read my book and went to bed.
--Enjoyed Easter day by spending the morning listening to conference at our house with our little family. Lunch at Grandpa & Grandma Popeye's house with my parents and family & my mom's parents as well. Grandma Linda spoiled the boys & Gray loved his golf set from her. Lunch was delicious too. Spent the afternoon session at Zac's folks and that was fun. Came home and spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening together. Grayson learned that on Easter Jesus was "rected" (ressurrected) and how grateful we are for that fact. So grateful for the personal relationship we share with our Savior and our Father in Heaven and for this Easter season. We feel so blessed.

I really love your updates. My friend makes the comment every now and then in regards to raising kids that its "long days and short years". Just take advantage of the time you get with your cute boys and try not to have any regrets.
I wish I could have had some of your dads ribs..next time count me in! :0)
I saw Taylor for about 2 minutes at Bob and Alisons, that girl makes me laugh, I really enjoy her and everyone in your family!
Karli, I have been wanting to tell you how cute your boys are since you had your sweet little baby. Every time I sit down to leave a comment one of my kiddos needs something. I love how crazy motherhood can sometimes be. But anyway, I just wanted to tell you again, congrats.
It sounds like it really was a great week! I too loved that there were so many talks about mothers/parenting during conference. We're so blessed to be guided and directed by leaders that really are in tune to what we need to know. I'm so grateful! I hope this week is a wonderful one for you guys, too.
