Ryan & Alicia had us over to their house for dinner this past week and it was delicious. They made an asian chicken salad that was simply divine. Ryan loves to cook & I love that quality about him. Connor enjoyed playing with Grayson and let him play with his toys & his pets (rats, frogs, dogs) and Gray loved it. He is so much braver than I ever was. The dogs are twice as big as him and just plow him over and lick him and he just walks by and says, "hi dogs. it's okay dogs." Love it. Gray was pretty bummed that Uncle Ryan's fire truck wasn't parked at their house so Ryan let him wear his helmet. At first he was hesitant, but then he walked around the house with that big heavy thing on his head. I especially loved seeing the Cleaver on the back. On the way home, Grayson said "when I'm getting bigger, I can drive a firetruck with uncle ryan." And I'd be totally okay with that. I'm grateful for Uncle Ryan and all the firefighters who do what they do. It was a great night visiting and we're grateful for them & their influence on our kids.

I love those pictures, Karl! After we went to the Long's sealing to Branson yesterday, we were at a stoplight where the firemen had a "Fill the Boot" campaign going on and so I grabbed my purse and dad gave them $20. We thought of Ryan and Uncle Brett and all the volunteer firemen that showed up when our house caught fire and did such a great job at keeping the damage to a minimum that day. Glad you had a good time there.
Such a sweet picture & post. You're awesome at capturing the memories.
I love that you captured this. So cute.
