The day of my actual birth-aka: March 2nd-was a good one. I spent it with the three most amazing men...You may know them. They sang to me, told me how much they loved me, and we played & read books, and worked on business stuff. I did a lot of the normal mom stuff-especially because the novelty of it being mom's birthday wore off about 9:30 AM {mainly after Grayson learned we would not be having another party}. But that's okay. It's the season we're in and I'm really grateful for the place we're at & the people I get to be with. Amber & girls had planned on spending the morning with us, but Grayson had randomly thrown up both the previous night & the one before that, so on the off chance he had something {although he was totally fine during the days}, I told them not to come. Bummer all around, but thankful for the desire to be with me. (:
I received some thoughtful cards, phone calls, emails, and facebook posts, which was so nice. And, our newest addition to our blog book collection came in the mail, which was a great gift! I just hugged it & sat down and skimmed through it. In love with these books...not in love with the blue & green I chose my first two years, but it does show the progression of where I came from, so I'll take it!
Later in the afternoon, my sweet dad brought by the most beautiful boquet of flowers accompanied by a hug & a kiss. He is so thoughtful & sweet and I count my parents as two of my greatest blessings on a daily basis.
That evening my boyfriend took me out on a hot date. Taylor & Talon were kind enough to come stay with our darling as ever children & we totally appreciated it. We snagged a quick family picture before we left. I LOVE boys in zip-up footie jammies!Zac took me to sushi which we'd been craving lately. We went to IOU in Nampa-it's the real deal. Super yummy. I got the dragon & the San Francisco rolls & he got spicy tuna, crystal shrimp, and a rock & roll. Totally yum. We talked, laughed, and sat right by each other on the same side-something that doesn't always happen when we have the boys with us. Yummy food with my best friend was the perfect way to end the evening.
Oh how I love this guy. We drove home and caught up on lots more stuff. He is wise, funny, sweet, smart, and obviously has great taste in women... Just teasing, I am just so grateful to have him!
It was a great birthday made even greater by the people surrounding me. Here's to the best year yet!

I'm glad you had a great birthday. Funny thing: my friend's sister owns IOU Sushi over there.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog books. They are absolutely amazing. I loved the consistency in them (title and book #). You're amazing. I smiled at the flowers. Since I went to grade school my Dad has given me flowers every year. So sweet. I'm glad you had a great birthday. Of all people you deserve it!
