other stuff.

-We got to feed the missionaries last week & it was quite comical as our kitchen was still a complete mess, but I just put taco soup in the crockpot & it all turned out just fine. (:  Grayson talked their ears off & showcased every toy in our house.

-Me and the boys spent the day with Amber & girls on Friday.  It was a fabulous time celebrating my birthday for the fifteenth year in a row together.  Completely love the fact that we've been best friends for fifteen years.  Over half our lives!  The kids play great together & we watched 3 episodes of Glee together because she's behind.  A couple noteable moments: 1) the two babies were awesome the whole time & just did their chillin.  2) Gray & Ella are the cutest little friends.  They squeezed into Ella's little chair together & Grayson read to her.  3) A while later, I hadn't heard the big kids in some time, so I went to check things out.  I smelled the vicks before I saw it.  They were both wrist deep in the stuff & taking care of their baby-putting it to bed.  Grayson told me he was just doing what I do to him at bedtime.  He also told me that Ella gave the baby hair.  Hmmm.  I was totally cracking up & all our sinuses should be clear for about a year!  I couldn't even get mad because they weren't being naughty-just attentive parents!  4) A little before our third episode was over, all four kids just completely lost it.  Crying, screaming, fits, throwing themselves on the floor, etc.  Amber just busted up laughing & I joined in.  I think both of us almost wet our pants we were laughing so hard!  5) Amber got me a great gift card to go get some cute shoes-yay!  Things we learned: 1) If kids are quiet too long, act quickly!  2) three episodes is apparently our children's limit before they've had enough. 3) Glee is so much better when watched with your best friend. 4) Again reminded how grateful I am for Amber.  Had I been home alone with my boys when they both lost it, I doubt I would have had the presence of mind to laugh about it, but she once again balanced me out & reminded me that rather than getting upset & starting to cry ourselves, it's so much more enjoyable to just laugh.  Thanks for that lesson, friend. (:
-Zac & Grandpa Newell took Grayson to the Saturday workshop at Home Depot {I'll have to get the pics off Z's phone later} while Bex & I exercised & I got lots done while he napped...even a 30 minute nap myself!  Heavenly!  They had a great time, as usual & I LOVE the kind of dad Zac is to our boys.  He consistently uses the spirit in his decisions with them, he remembers always that they are innocent & small spirits & that they are the closest thing to Heavenly Father we'll get on this earth.  Marrying that man was the single best decision I've ever made.
-We had a visit from Denise & Vince.  It was great to see them & we had some belly busting laughs listening to the boys play.  It was well past bedtime, so unfortunately they were witness to a Grayson meltdown, but hopefully they won't hold it against us!  Denise brought me a thoughtful birthday gift that I love.  She made this darling necklace, the friendship Demdaco angel, and some fabric & a pattern to make an apron to fulfill #4 on my list {sew something}.  Creative & thoughtful, huh?  I love it & will hopefully do the apron justice-it's way cute on the pattern.  Grateful we've been friends our entire lives & hope our boys are the same way.
-March is my month for sharing time again.  I felt like it went pretty well.  It's on prophets-so thankful for them.  We had a visit after church from Brad & Rosendo and it was fun to see them.  He helped Zac with some stuff that has had him stumped for a while.  Grayson was having a tough day & had several breakdowns, timeouts, etc.  I was not patient & I apologized later for it.  We went to visit G&G Pete for a while that evening, but our stay was cut short because Grayson was still quite emotional.  Got the kiddos in bed just after 7:30 and snuggled on the couch with Zac & a cute movie.  So glad every day is a new one to try & be better than the day before!

-I'm happy to report that our kitchen was reinstated to normalcy yesterday.  I honestly feel like it's the most spacious & beautiful space ever now.  Yay!  We have also continued to do organizing projects the past week.  We removed Zac's work table {fold out table} from our room & he built a desk that suits his needs so much better.  I am totally loving our space in there right now.  I feel like it's much more efficient.  We also exchanged my computer hutch for a smaller desk to allow more "thru-room" in the kitchen area & I love it.  My computer breathes better & it's less cluttered.  T&T are the benefactors of the hutch & she has some fun plans for it, so I'm excited.
-Candace sent me a gift card to iTunes for my birthday & I used it today to get 14 Glee songs that aren't on their cds, but that I loved on the show.  Totally dancing & having a ball with the boys.  Meanwhile & crazily, it's snowing outside!  Perfect day to dance around to great music & get odds & ends done, as well as pull all the ziploc baggies out!  This kid is everywhere! (:
-Lastly, a favor for all my readers-all four of you! (:  If you know someone who is wanting to lose weight, please tell them about TSFL and that they can have me as their free health coach to help them through their weight loss journey.  You'll receive a $15 gift card to the place of your choice-but it's not even about that.  It's about helping someone you love find confidence, health, and become their best self.  I am totally loving my health coaching & my clients make me smile every day.  If you feel inclined to share with someone you love, don't hesitate to give them my contact information or let me know & I can contact them, too.

Have a great day!
