baby goats {and a splitting headache}

Got up this morning for a run and I just felt off my game.  I was supposed to go 28 minutes without stopping and ended up going 5 minutes, walking 1, running 5, walking 1, the whole time.  I still only added 33 seconds to my 4 mile time {45:33}, but I was bummed.  My chest hurt, my side ached, and my breathing was more labored than usual.  It was a beautiful morning with little wind too, so I know that wasn't it.  I thought maybe I was starting to detox a little and possibly the soda was having more of an impact in all areas of life than I'd previously thought.  Maybe it was just an off day.  (:
Got home, played with the boys all morning while also doing laundry & cleaning house.  Got Beckham down and Gray watched a movie while I got some work done for Health Confessions.  When Beckham woke up we spent some time enjoying the HOT sunshine-felt like summer for a few minutes!  Then it rained and we came inside.

After the rain stopped and we took a walk over to Sharon's to visit her baby goats.  Grayson surprised me and was totally brave-not needing me at all-and Beckham surprised me by being totally timid-wanting to be held!  Opposite of their usual personalities.  The baby goats are adorable and she has 16 right now, so there were plenty to see.  Grayson was so gentle and didn't scare them away at all.  One even let him hold it-just born yesterday! We also saw the chickens & baby chicks, the cows, the horses, the llama, and Petunia, the biggest pig I've ever seen.  She was a little intimidating to me and the kids!  Sharon took Gray to get the eggs and he treasured them the whole walk home.  So glad we know Sharon-she really is a sweet friend and neighbor.  Don't mind our ragamuffin appearances-none of us got ready today.
Got home and made dinner, put kids to bed, and now I'm going to take something more for my headache!  So far I've had 206 ounces water today. (:

One week of Father's day: Day # two: T-ball kit for Z to play with the boys.

LOVED catching up on all those posts. I love those boys and their parents A LOT. Hope you're doing okay without your diet sodas. Like all things,, it will become easier. I think it was a great example you set for the Primary Children. I want to come slip n slide with Grayson. It looks like fun. Love ya lots and good luck in all your busy adventures. You always wear me our reading what you do. :)

I loved the slip n' slide pictures! What a great dad to demonstrate the proper way to use it. :) So cute! Your Father's Day idea is awesome. I may have to borrow that in the years to come. The pictures of the boys with the farm animals were sweet. I also want to say that I'm proud of you for giving up your Diet Coke. You are an amazing example not only to those primary children, but to everyone who knows you. I can't help but think that our Heavenly Father felt a huge sense of happiness when you made the decision to bury that sword. Not because drinking Diet Coke is bad, but because you were sincerely giving up something that means something to you to show how much you love God. That is amazing to me! I hope that your headaches go away soon.
