a little thought about Pinning

Many of you know I am a recent lover of Pinterest.  It's so fun!  It's basically a form of visual bookmarking and allows you to "pin" things you see and love into your very own account {on whatever "board" you choose to best remember later} and then you don't have to remember millions of websites later when you want to go back to that idea.  It's pretty much the thing I've been wishing for-but didn't know it-for years and years.

Anyway, many people probably think it's a waste of time or might define it like this:

pin-ter-est (n.):
A fun reminder of the clothes I will never afford/fit into, the home decor I will never afford/fit into our small home, the recipes and crafts I am too lazy to ever make, the sayings I wasn't clever enough to think of on my own, the photos I wish I had taken but didn't.

It doesn't feel like this at all to me, though.  Instead, I view it in an extremely positive light.  It's a relief for me to have one spot I can store ALL my ideas instead of having to carry them around in my head like a weight.  The reality is this: I don't have time right now to work on those ideas.  I don't have the funds right now to make most of those things come to fruition....but someday I {we} will.  When we do, I'll have all my ideas in one conveneient location to come back to.

More than that though, Pinterest goes hand in hand with my firm belief about visualization.  If you can visualize something-and see it or a reminder of it every day-it's more likely to come true.  Pinterest has become my visual dream board.  Zac has an account as well and is enjoying it for the same reasons.  It's pretty cool for us to have access to the things that each other is passionate about.  And, having a dream and a goal is the best motivation to get what you want, and this is the best way I've found of being able to visualize every single day what we are working so hard for.
Just seeing my boards when I open Pinterest gives me this feeling of immense giddiness.  I don't have those things now-and some of them I may never have-but that's not really the point.  As long as I am consistently working toward something, I'm more likely to get there.  I love pinning, wishing, and visualizing my future wants in one spot.  I'd recommend you all join & start your own dream boards today.  {I'd also recommend investing in a timer & setting it for ten minutes while on Pinterest as it could get addicting.  I give myself 2-3 5 minute time slots each day to pin or repin things I see.  It's worked well so far & I'm excited about the future possibilities of seeing those dreams come to pass!}

I have yet to dive into this. I want to but I'm not sure I could be as dedicated about my time.
