Grayson came up to me the other day and asked if I could make him a crown to be a king. It was random as we hadn't even been talking about royalty in any way, shape, or form, but I had to oblige him. I found a cardboard box and cut out a {very} rudimentary crown & sword which I covered with aluminum foil. He wore his brown blanket as his "cape," but only wanted to wear it around his waist-more like a kilt.
This kid cracks me up! Beckham wanted in on the fun, so when Zac saw my sword, he made a much better one for Beckham and the boys had a couple sword fights. I referred to them both as King throughout the day and told them I was their royal servant. I also kept singing Tom Petty's song, "It's Good to be King." Grayson would get this embarrassed smile on his face and say, "Mom, I'm just Grayson. Pretending to be a king!"
