Zac spent five days in Las Vegas in September {22nd-26th} for business training. He flew out Thursday afternoon and that evening I hosted a Shelf Reliance party at my house. Courtney was the hostess and did a good job. Their stuff is awesome! I had a small turnout, but a great party total which was exciting and I'm happy to get some more stuff. I am even signing up for the queue where each month we put a little money in and they send us stuff for our storage. The best thing about their products is they are so user friendly for right now. Not just in an emergency. Love it. My favorite products are the freeze dried pineapple, freeze dried passion fruit yogurt bites, and the sausage crumbles. Good stuff. (: If you want to order anything & get my party price, we're closing it on October 31st, so look at the website & let me know. Yum! http://www.shelfreliance.com/
T&T came over and stayed the night with us that night which was sweet. Friday Morgan watched the boys with me while I met with a new client in Boise, had lunch with Brenda, and ran some errands. I got home and grabbed the boys and we played at home for a while & the boys watched the lawn being mowed. Amber & her girls came over because Todd was gone on a business trip as well, so we had a fun night with the kiddos. T&T took Beckham with them to a football game, so Ella & Grayson played with no interruptions. They played well and made some sponge toys with water, watched Netflix shows, and ate candy corns. Amber and I enjoyed dinner, chatting, and working on a project. It was a great night. T&T stayed again after we got the boys in bed.
Saturday me and the boys ran errands in Ontario and visited Kelli and her new baby boy, Tyler. He is adorable and it was nice to visit with her. We hadn't seen each other since before she was pregnant-too long-but I love that we always just pick up where we left off. She is a truly good & lifelong friend. The boys got kids meals to eat in the car while I ran into my friend Megan's scentsy party & grabbed a couple things. While Beckham napped when we got home, Grayson and I had a picnic/popsicle party under the trampoline outside. That evening we hung out at Pete's and I watched the Relief Society broadcast there. I totally needed it-especially Elder Uchtdorf's talk-so I'm glad we went. We left soon after it was over and I got the boys to bed early and enjoyed watching a couple of my saved shows on Netflix and chatting with Zac on the phone. T&T came over but I sent them home. It was sweet of them to be so willing to stay and protect us. (:
Sunday's are one of the craziest times to be a single parent because it's getting everyone ready and in the right places at the right time. It actually went super smoothly. Got ready, made it to church 8 minutes early!, sat in a small side pew with Aunt Doll and everyone was fairly well behaved. During the closing song in Sacrament meeting {How Great Thou Art}, Grayson sighed really loudly while looking at his hymn book and said, "Argh, I wish they would do Old McDonald one of these times!" I told him I'd suggest it. The boys both did well in Nursery and I was able to teach Sharing time and love doing that. It was an especially fun week with the kids. We came home after church for naps and then later went to Pete's to hang out. We came home and the boys went to bed and I talked to Zac and relaxed some more. Beckham had a rough night and ended up waking up around midnight and not wanting to sleep. I laid him out in the living room with me and he finally gave in and went back to bed. He was so tired, but fighting it so bad.
Monday Gray had preschool and Zac got home around 4. We were all happy to see him. I always realize that he does a lot to help me at home and with the boys, but I really acknowledge how much I rely on him when he's not here. I am thankful for the man he is and the fact that he is such a daily part of the dailyness of our lives at home. We are glad he's home!
