Tuesday {11.1} was a good day. Gray had an eye appointment with Dr. Lee so I took both boys with me and headed out. We got in & out super quick and Grayson was so big! He sat in the exam chair all by himself for the first time since going to her and did great on all the tests. He talked the assistant's ears off & then Dr. Lee's. The patching has helped-his eyesight went from 20/50 to 20/40, so I was happy about that. We are still doing 14 hours a week and he is such a champ about it. Beckham was pretty hilarious there too & both boys did great. We headed to run errands afterward & hit Costco, Target, & grabbed lunch for the kiddos. They did fabulous at all the stops and were really fun to be with all day.
Wednesday {11.2} Ran to Ontario this morning & met Becca at Maurice's. I still hadn't found a dress for the wedding and was feeling rather down about it. She was kind of having a hard morning with memories of Tom so it was good therapy for both of us to lift each other up. She helped me try on loads of stuff. She's kind of my own personal inspiration because she's in such amazing shape, so it was helpful to have her there to bounce ideas off of. I ended up getting a great dress that I felt awesome in and then we grabbed lunch before splitting ways. So grateful for Bec's friendship and that she was willing to take her morning and spend it with me. Bex slept at Taylor's while Gray was at preschool. Court asked if I could pick Max up along with Gray after preschool & drop him at home. He and Grayson had already been scheming to Miss Krissy about going to one another's houses, so I called her and told her we'd better take him home for a couple hours. He and Grayson played so well together, tried on lots of costumes, and are so funny to listen to.
Afterward Uncle Talon came over to cut the boys hair. Taylor and I had to practically hold Beckham down he was screaming so hard the whole time. When we put Star Wars on, he would stop for a second & then start up again. He hated the sound of the clippers. We were bummed since he'd done so well the first time, but with Grayson's history, I shouldn't have been surprised. (: When he was done with Beckham, he just cuddled up with tear stained cheeks on Taylor's lap for cuddles. Grayson does much better now-although he still hates the feel of hair all over him-and that went more quickly. We so appreciate having family members who can cut their hair & don't mind the drama of doing it! Beckham looked so much older immediately, but they both looked super handsome.
Thursday {11.3} we got lots done at home in the morning so we could head to Twin Falls around 11:00 am for Morgan's wedding festivities. The boys were great the whole 3 hour trip and Zac and I had a much needed conversation. It was deep & gut wrenching, but so needed. I can't say enough how grateful I am for a husband who talks to me. Who listens to me talk. And, that he is so supportive and aware of me. So glad for that time. I feel more motivated and inspired than ever and I think he does, too. Love him.
We got to Twin and the hotel and found everyone for a minute. My parents & Taylor and Talon came too, which was great. I am thankful both my families get along and support each other. T&T were sweet enough to watch our kids during the endowment session and we rode with my folks to the temple. It was my first time ever in Twin Falls and both our first time to that temple, which was gorgeous. I loved the beauty of the inside and the things that made it unique. The session was beautiful and it was neat being with Morgan and Brian for that. It just made the things I'd realized during my conversation with Zac that much better as I received extra spiritual guidance in the temple. We headed back to the hotel afterward and loved on our boys. Mom & Dad and T&T went to Cafe Rio for dinner because Dad was totally craving that and our little family met Zac's family at Johnny Carino's for dinner. Brian's family is amazing and we are so happy for Morgan that she is getting such awesome in laws. We got to know them super well throughout the weekend and know she will be blessed for knowing them-and so will we!
The dinner was awesome. It was long-a several course meal-but the boys were super champs the whole time. Grayson is generally our pickiest eater, but tried three new things: italian bread with olive oil dip, calamari, and mozzarella sticks. He LOVED all three and ate super well. Beckham ate about a loaf of bread by himself and wandered between many people's laps during the meal. It was a fun night with both families.
The night at the hotel was a bit crazy-but what ones aren't with kids-and although it was tough getting both boys settled and to sleep, we were all out by 10:30, which I call a success.
Friday {11.4} We woke up and visited with everyone downstairs at breakfast for a bit. We had a while to get ready leisurely, and my mom offered to curl my hair which I loved {I love having anyone play with my hair for any reason}. Zac had to get a few work calls made, so Bex ran around in Mom and Dad's hotel room and Grandpa Alan took Grayson on a field trip to Costco. They walked around and he offered to buy Grayson a few different things, but Grayson said he wanted to wait till Christmas to get the storm trooper ship from Star Wars. Willpower. (:
I LOVED my hair & so did Zac-so much so that he asked me to do it like that every day...Um, sorry babe, not happening. (: Mom also let me borrow a dress which made me feel awesome. We got to the temple and the boys hung in the waiting room with their cousins and some of Morgan's sweet girlfriends refereed. I was glad they were there. The sealing room was absolutely gorgeous and the sealing was very sweet. I loved the things the sealer said and loved that Brian was emotional through the whole thing. Such a good guy. I know they will be awesome together.
Afterward it was FREEZING and we quickly took a couple pictures, hugged the happy couple, and got in our car to head home. We stopped for a quick lunch on the way back and enjoyed our drive immensely. The boys did great again which allowed Zac and I more time to visit and laugh a lot. Love him. We got home around 6 or so and chilled for the rest of the evening.
Saturday {11.5} we spent the morning & early afternoon setting up for the reception. Doll & my mom watched the boys which was super helpful and they napped when we picked them up. Zac & Gray got ready first and ran to pick up some stuff in Ontario in one car & Beckham and I went to my parents so Mom could curl my hair again. She was a lifesaver & so selfless to do that-I LOVED it! We met them at the church for family pictures. I loved my new dress & felt pretty great. Zac's reaction {he hadn't seen the dress yet} was pretty cute, too. He's a sweetie. We helped finish setting up, got some group photos, and spent the evening enjoying visiting with people & spending time with the family. We are ecstatic for Mo & Brian and excited to get to know him more. We also fell in love with his whole family over the weekend and hope they visit again soon.
Sunday {11.6} we enjoyed an awesome fast & testimony meeting at church. Lots of family members {and adopted family-Brian's} bore their testimonies which was so cool. Primary went well-so grateful for the help I have up there-and the kids are just awesome. After church we ate lunch at Cleaver's and enjoyed visiting with the Wilson family before they had to fly out, too. We got a bit of rest and then Lance, Kelsey & Jaeger came over to visit that evening for dinner. We had crockpot chicken {delish} and visited while the boys played.
