You can always tell where Beckham sits by the mess left behind.
Enjoying each other's company
Visited Grami's for a minute & Grayson hid from me when it was time to go. He said, "Just go mom & bring me back that treat I told you about, k?"
I took him with me to grab groceries & we were cornered by the girly scouts. Yum!
The boys were insistent that I have a cake, so we grabbed a little cheesecake at M&W. It was so cute & they sang to me and enjoyed the treat. I love that they are birthday lovers like me. My mom especially instilled it in me and I still adore birthdays & hope my boys always do.
March fourth:
We'd moved Bex crib next to Gray's bed a couple days before & this morning Beckham got out by himself and came & found me. He was proud. The crib was promptly moved back & he hasn't tried getting out again. Phew. Not ready for the big bed transition yet...maybe not ever.
After church & naps {Zac was still sleeping}, the boys & I watched family videos & looked at photos on the computer. They LOVE doing this. I love it, too. Reminds me how important all this record keeping really is. And, it reminds me that phases pass way more quickly than we realize when we're in them.
Wrestling and a bit of time spent at Pete's place in the afternoon.
March fifth:
Gray loves preschool. Beckham looked like a little indie rock/hippy kid on our way to take Gray to school. Love him. I wonder to myself sometimes how many hours I've spent trying to keep my kids awake in the car til we get home for nap or bedtime. Ha!
Grami picked Gray up from preschool-a favorite treat-and he got to go to her house for a bit. He helped Grandpa take the lights off their house & talked his ear off {he's definitely my child}. Bex went to get groceries with me & is such a joy to take places. He has the funnest personality + I'll do anything to keep him sitting in the cart! (:

Dad Cleaver is such a thoughtful heart. He was concerned I hadn't had a birthday cake {the little one was just with me & my three boys}, so he brought me some mini cupcakes & lit a candle while they sang to me again. The boys liked showing off for Grandma & Grandpa for a few minutes before bedtime, too. A much appreciated gesture.
March sixth:
Gray & I tried a new project for dinner. We found these mini pizzas through Pinterest and they were totally hands on for him & he LOVED getting to help out. They didn't taste great, but Beckham was impressed.
T&T stopped by for a second around bedtime and had a wrestling match with the boys. They sure adore them.
March seventh:
A random fact I LOVE about Zac-and our marriage right now-is that he often sits in the bathroom with me & works on his laptop/phone while I get ready. He visits with me, we talk about our day & upcoming week, and run ideas by each other. He is a HUGE supporter of my goals and super driven about getting where we want to be, so he relishes in discussing what we're doing to make it happen. I really like him.
When Zac went to work, the boys & I went to visit my cousin Mikell & her little girls at Alison's. It was a great time & the boys loved it.
We had yet another visit from Darth Vader and Spiderman. They are regulars around here.
I've been working hard to reach some business goals this year and met my goals in February which qualified me to be on an Executive Director council. Zac & the boys chilled while I ran over for a meeting and had dinner with Jen while I dropped off some accounting stuff. Love that girl and the coaching I get to be a part of. The boys had a great time with Daddy and I'm so thankful that although both of us are crazy busy, they are usually with one of us.
March eighth:
Ran to M&W with boys for 2 things today. They had homemade pinatas hanging all over. Guess who came home with us? For $7 bucks, it was a steal! I would never have the patience to make one and even if we never use it-Bex has loved it enough for it to be worth it. We keep telling him it's for his birthday and Grayson is being so good about not trying to take it. Simple pleasures, right? We hung at Grami's for a bit afterward.
March ninth:
Launched my new BLOG site today! Totally stoked about this and like Zac said, the great outcome far outweighs the yucky initial stuff that made the blog change come to pass. Yay!
Did some exercise with the boys today. Gray's a pro at the downward dog.
Went to Shae's {Talon's sister} reception tonight with my three guys & Mom & Dad. We rode with them and the boys were hilarious. Beckham impressed everyone by "singing" Book of Mormon stories and several other songs on command. He cracks me up. They were great at the reception-Beckham got slapped pretty good, but he & the other little guy were friends again after a few minutes.
March tenth:
Zac took Gray to work on the farm for a while & Bex stayed with me. I was getting some work done in the kitchen & the garage door was propped open. He usually rides the trike around or something, but it was quiet. I peeked out and he was just setting his guys up & talking to them. He entertained himself for almost an hour til naptime. Love our low key, uninterrupted times.
In the afternoon it was nice enough to play outside. Yay!
Wendy watched our kiddos tonight so we could go on a date. We met Mom & Dad Pete, L&K&Jaeger at Ogawa's and ate a yummy dinner. Afterward, Zac & I went to Walmart to birthday shop for Beckham-totally procrastinated. I LOVE shopping with Zac for the kids-we are both like little kids, and it gives him perspective on when I go by myself. (; We had a great time being together and grabbed two happy & tired boys on our way home.

Absolutely GORGEOUS on your date night. Love that Z sits in the bathroom with you. You two really are lucky to have your relationship as strong as you do. Love it!
