Zac has been working his rear off for four years now and the stress level and workload-especially with opening his eighth store-was making him sick. After a full blown panic attack {or several} six months of intense daily discussions, and much prayer/fasting/temple attendance, Zac's cousin Louis came on board to work with Zac. He got here on September 11th and has a room at Taylor & Talon's, but sometimes sleeps here. He left his sweet wife Diana and two kiddos, Kira & Josh in Provo for school and is here for two-three weeks and them home for several days & then comes back. He & Zac drive to work together most days & Zac works at the office while Lou goes to the stores & trains & manages staff. Then they meet & strategize and drive home together. {all of this is subject to change in the coming months, but as of September-month one-this is how it's working}.
I have to say I have absolutely loved having him. I told Zac last night that I want to keep him. He agreed. (: Brother husbands (sans the whole intimacy portion), is totally enjoyable. A few favorite things:
-I've made an effort to cook almost every night. This is a big deal for me because Zac doesn't eat when he's stressed, so it was easy for me to get lax on my cooking meals. Now, I plan a weekly menu and try to stick to it. Taylor usually feeds us once a week too which is so sweet and appreciated. And, because Zac doesn't have much of an appetite {and is seemingly losing weight daily}, it's fun to have a mouth to feed who loves to eat.
-We've gotten back into a good morning routine. We are waking earlier, I pack 4 meals for each of the guys, and send them off to work like a good wife. I am more productive because I'm up earlier, get my workout done, etc.
-I've been ironing. The guys & I had a strategy meeting and decided a more rigorous dress code was required. Dressing sharp=success in their business, so I make sure to iron at least one day a week. I know they'd do it, but they're pretty busy and I like to serve in that way.
-Two guys who are really good friends equates to lots of laughter in our house. The boys love having Dad & Louis come home at night and look forward to hugs/kisses/tickles, etc. I love after the boys are in bed hearing them converse & laugh or telling me stories.
-One night Zac was changing the lightbulbs that were out and Louis was wD40ing my doors. Enough said. Saturday's are spent fixing things {washer/fridge}, mowing the lawn, organizing, working at the stores if needed, and having date nights.
-Zac & Louis are two of the most complimentary men I know, so having them both around is awesome. I try really hard to keep everything behind the scenes {food/laundry/house cleaning/kids/bills, etc.} orderly and they make a point of noticing and telling me. I totally appreciate that.
-Having four guys who think I'm awesome is just pretty dang cool.
All in all I think it's made all of us step up our game. In both our personal & professional lives, which has only been a positive. We know having him this close is temporary, but we'll keep him for now.
