{16-17th} We like Sunday naps, playing with one of our best friends Lyla & eating popsicles, catching disgusting flies, & showing off the impressive music skills we learn at preschool.
Playing rockband as a family constitutes a pretty fun FHE.
{20th} We had a business meeting with M&J + Louis. Also tried My Fit Foods. It was delish! Zac got his hair cut on the way home, so Lou & I went next door to Gordman's & tried out some comfy chairs. We all went to Kohl's so I could help the guys get a few things that would better "dress them for success." It was a fun adventure & we had a good time laughing and planning together.
Beckham has a minor addiction to technology. He may require an intervention at some point.
Grayson's creativity is never ending. He is writing more often, too. Still an incredible perfectionist {which frustrates him because he ends up tearing up half the stuff he makes because it's not "perfect"}, but I just keep reminding him we don't have to be perfect and hopefully it will sink in eventually.
{23rd} Zac had a migraine last night & this morning-which has happened only once before-so he stayed home to sleep during church while Lou & the boys and I went. He felt a lot better after adequate sleep, medicine, and a hot tub, so I got a nice nap when I got home.
The boys love a willing trampoline playmate.
{24th} The boys LOVE the mud and playing in the ditch. Brings back so many memories of being a kid and playing in the ditch with my friends. Cheap and easy entertainment!
Lou made dinner at T&T's and it was yummy stir fry.
{27-30th} I worked a booth for my business in Boise today. Courtney watched my boys on short notice {which she's always willing to do} and I am so thankful for her friendship & the way she loves my kids.
Donated a basket from Health Confessions for Kellie Jensen's benefit. She is a family friend and was in a major accident with a horse which put her in the hospital. So scary & we thought she wouldn't make it, but God had other plans for her. Another miracle.
The littles and I visited Tom's grave. Miss him so much.
We took Ashton for the day so his parents could work/run errands and the boys loved the attention from an older kid. I had made a car track out of tape on the floor earlier this week and they created a whole village. Totally worth the clean up.
We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings for my first time with T&T. Yum! Afterward we tried out comfy beds at the bed store. We'd tried M&J's a while back and have felt like we were sleeping on sticks ever since! (;
We took a drive around the farm + visited Chelsey & her horse and the boys played with Lyla, got muddy, smelled an onion, and enjoyed country life. I LOVE these seeemingly small moments with my family. I love Saturday's and that we try not to be overscheduled. I know there may be a day when our kids are involved in many things, but I hope never to the point that we can't take time often to enjoy each other and the things that are most important. Especially because business {Zac's} can really have us mired in the yucky stresses of life and of course we hope that is not always the case, but for now, it's our reality, so we have to consciously step outside of that & appreciate the small things.
More lovely early Fall evenings on the trampoline with water & the beautiful sunset. I would rather live here in this valley than anywhere in the world.
Haircuts for both boys thanks to the fabulous barber, uncle Talon.
Amber had baby Judah! We were on pins and needles all day Saturday while doing our stuff and just waiting for updates from her and Todd. He is really good to keep a twitter account when they have babies and keep everyone updated-along with her occasional texts. Judah Thomas was born that evening and he is a doll baby! We all cheered when we saw the picture and love him already.
Finished off the month by teaching my last Sharing time for a bit {we switch every month} + spending time creating and playing at Grami's. Another month full of good memories down.
