I've been keeping track the past couple years of what books I read because I find I often forget and will read the same thing over again just realizing about halfway through that I've read it before! Anyway, 2009 was a good book year. I read a total of 57 books throughout the year which averages a little more than one a week which seems crazy as there were some times where I went several weeks without reading hardly anything! Anyway, out of the 57, here are my top faves.
-The Harry Potter series (7 books): JK Rowling
-The Lucky One: Nicholas Sparks
-Marley & Me: John Grogan
-The Smart Chick series (3 books): Mindy Starns Clark
-Belly Laughs: Jenny McCarthy
-Baby Laughs: Jenny McCarthy
-Mother Warriors: Jenny McCarthy
-In Praise of Stay at Home Moms: Dr. Laura
-Lucky Man: Michael J Fox
-The Last Lecture: Randy Pausch
-Uglies series (4 books): Scott Westerfeld
-Peeps: Scott Westerfeld
-Just Listen: Sarah Dessen
-Handle With Care: Jodi Picoult
I'd love ideas for books to put on my 2010 list, so let me know what great reads you've loved!

I always look to you for good books. I'll have to try a few of those out.
Thanks for sharing some of your books, I have some ideas of what to read! I will look through my aka my sister's book shelf for books that I have read that I think you might like. Hope Gray is feeling better. Love you.
Hunger Games all the way!
I didn't like the Uglies series. They were not at all what I thought they would be and way too sci-fi. if you haven't read Percy and the Olympians series i would recommend those. If you like Harry Potter you should like those!
Some good ones I've read recently:
My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows
Crossing to Safety - Wallace Stegner (I've read this 2 or 3 times, it is one of my favorites!)
You are such an inspiration..I have been wanting to read more. I just need to do it!
Layla is 3 and 3 months. I would definitely wait until all those things are past and Gray is ready. Because when they are ready it doesn't take that long at all. I thought Layla was ready a few times and it never worked. My mom kept telling me "She'll be potty trained before she goes to college." Love you!
yes, Brit, i agree! hunger games was amazing!! (now i need to read the second one - chasing fire, i think it's called.)
get onto goodreads.com, you can keep track of what you read and want to read plus see what your friends are reading! I love it.
I always say I'm going to do this and then I never do. I'm getting a little better but still I just need a place to write them all down!
