A Needed Uplift

Saturday after I got home from being with Amber, I went to my folks where everyone was gathered for pizza after the priesthood session of conference.  Gray and Jaeger were loving the fact it was a reasonably nice night & Grandpa got the gator out for them.  They are cute.  Gray loves giving "lay down squeezes" where he basically tackles you with a hug and you pretend like you're passed out and he kisses you awake.  He played with Grandpa for a while & Bex was just his usual cute self.
 {Yes, we still lug him around in this thing every once in a while.
20 pounds & the carseat...muscles abound!}

Sunday April 3rd was a great day.  We started out by sleeping in a bit.  Dad & Lance brought us eggos & chocolate milk for breakfast and we grabbed Jaeger to stay with our boys.  They kept each other busy while we listened to the morning session of conference-one of my favorite weekends of the year.  So many great talks & things said.  I'm planning and working on a post with my favorite quotes & things said, but for now I'll just say we both got answers to prayers we were seeking and I'm so thankful we have a living Prophet and great men and women who have such awesome counsel for our lives.  And, we think it's totally awesome that we are getting a temple in Meridian!  That is just crazy great!
After the morning session ended, we got ready, corralled everyone out, and headed to my folks for lunch.  It was all yummy as usual and we had fun visiting.  My dad's cousin Kaylynn was visiting too and it was great to see her.  She is so fun and Zac and I would love to take the boys up to stay with her & her sweet family in Washington sometime.

After the delicious meal {thanks mom & Dad!}, we headed to Cleaver's for the second session, where we also heard my favorite talks from the weekend on marriage and parenting.  So amazing.  Em & Layne & kids, Chels & Chris and Lyla, and Morgan were there too, so the boys loved playing with their cousins and we had a great time laughing and talking.  Their kitchen was all finished except for the new fridge being in, so the guys moved it into the house.  I'm sure in love with my looker of a husband too.
After we had eaten & visited quite a while, we headed to check on Becca.  Spent a couple hours helping her & going over pictures for the slideshow and letting the kids play.  She is incredible.  Her faith is strong and my adoration of her has been increased, for sure.  Zac spent a little time with her on Saturday and she just had him look through scrapbooks & pictures of Tom with her.  I know Rock has been a strength to her on a daily basis too.  Her kids are doing as well as they can and I'm just grateful for her example in my life.  It's almost as if she's on a high right now...similar to after having a baby, while she is planning the funeral and having many visitors daily, and being kept incredibly busy.  I know the storm will hit even harder after the funeral and although we wish the situation was different-wish we could bring Tom back and make things like they used to be-we can't, and we will continue to be there after things slow down, and visitors lessen, and life is heavy.
