this is getting ridiculous

for those that know me even a little, you might call me a perfectionist in some areas.  A bit OCD sometimes about certain things.  One of them being the fact that I have to have my blog in order and I've been so far behind that I feel like I'm living a double life.  The one I live day to day and then the one I finally get through with as I get it blogged.  Yes, I know this is pathetic, it's a problem I'm working on.  Along with so many others! (:

For now though, I'm trying to get as caught up as I can so I can get back to that little place in blogging land that I love where I could ocasionally blog about random spur-of-the-moment type things!  So here's some more stuff about our days:

{Monday} May 2nd, was a crazy day filled with work & boys at Aunt Taylor's.  Zac worked from home and although we didn't see each other except in passing, it's nice when he's here.  The day just progressed from normal stress to copious stress it seemed and Zac took Grayson to the farm with him around 4. This allowed me and Beckham some time alone and I was able to fix a nice dinner, do laundry, finally exercise, and get a hold on housework before they got home around 7:30.  We were all happier and ready for bed at this point.
We got the boys down {after me and Bex cuddled for a bit-he doesn't mind that I'm sweaty & disgusting at this point!} and I ran up to the Bowns house to say hi to Stevie and Ryann & Christian, and they were heading to see Denise & I had something for them to take to her.  That Bowns crew is so much fun and they always make me laugh.  I have so many fond memories of my childhood with those people and I'm grateful for those ties that bind us together.

May 3rd {Tuesday} was a good day.  The boys and I took a trip to the library where Beckham proceeded to run around and flirt with all the women who work there-he is so dang cute & we were basically the only people in there, so I didn't worry about it.  Grayson and I methodically picked out books and he played with their huge bucket of dinosaurs.  We ran a couple errands and headed back to Grami's so I could run on her treadmill.

After naps, we headed to Fruitland for an impromptu dinner date at the Fischer place.  We had been planning on going to Talon and Lance's baseball game in Fruitland already, but thought we'd go over early and have dinner with Todd, Amber, and Girls.  Turns out while the guys were BBQ'ing, the kiddos thought it was freezing & Zac was way cold too, so we ended up just staying and hanging out rather than dragging the kids out in the cold for the game.  We had a great time with them as usual, and all wondered why we don't get together in the middle of the week more often.  Yummy food, great conversation, lots of laughing and chatting, and the kids get along great.  They played house & had some pretty noteworthy conversations.  Toward the end of the evening, the guys sat down to check out a puzzle game Todd has & the littles all congregated over that way too.  Grayson was "reading" to Ella and they were really just enthralled with their daddy's game-too cute!
{Wednesday} May 4th, Taylor and I headed with the boys to Boise for some Mother's day shopping.  We dropped Grayson off to play with Corbin and he was incredibly excited, to say the least.  He couldn't stop talking about it & I knew he'd have a way better time there.  We took Beckham with us & had a great time shopping and chatting.  Headed back to grab Grayson a few hours later & headed home.  Got more work done in the afternoon, read library books & spent a crazy amount of time making funny faces in photo booth with both boys.  I have to say it is quite the entertainer & at a few points Grayson and I were laughing so hard I almost cried.  Beckham had just woken up and I think thought we were super weirdos, but it was fun!  We had a yummy dinner in the evening and then helped Zac pack for his business overnight trip.
May 5th {Thursday}, Zac left at 4:00 AM to catch his flight to Denver.  Obviously we were all still sleeping. (:  We woke up and Taylor had the boys from 9-2 while I worked and filed & got lots done.  Stevie was here visiting and she went with me to Ontario for a couple errands.  It was fun to get caught up with her adorable self-sure love her.  Got back & picked up my sweeties.  We spent the rest of the afternoon playing and having quality time.  Amber & girls got here at 5:30 and I had just gone to pick up our first "real" {not family or close married friend} babysitter for the kids.  We figured since Zac was gone for the night & we could get a babysitter, we should go out to eat & talk since we are always corraling kids when we're visiting together. (:  I had Reagan Hartley {7th grader} come babysit and she brought her sister Britain {3rd grader} with her.  It was crazy leaving Grayson, Beckha, and Ella, with a real sitter!  I wasn't worried because I know & have heard that she's great with kids & I know she has a lot of experience babysitting her own four younger siblings, but it was still weird knowing the boys were having their first actual babysitter.  What's more weird is that I used to babysit Reagan and now she is watching my kids!

We left and headed to Nampa to eat at our favorite, Red Robin.  We talked & laughed the whole way there, all through our yummy dinner, and in Target where we strolled around {and couldn't resist these cute notepads} & then picked up a diet soda at Sonic and headed home.  I am so thankful for Amber.  She supports me and listens to me talk about my dreams & plans for my website and she gives me wise advice and suggestions.  She is genuinely interested in the things I'm doing and seeing them come to fruition, which I am grateful for.  We were gone a total of 3.5 hours and I hoped the boys were good.  Got home and the kids were fed, the house was clean, Bex was in jammies, and the they were all happily playing and enjoying the girls' attention.  Grayson's first words upon my arrival at the end of this momentous ocasion: "You can't come home yet!"  Right.  Apparently he had a good time.  I'd rather have that welcome than a screaming sad kid.  I ran the girls home, paid them, and got a good report on the boys & Ella. (:  Got home and after Grayson had a huge fit & got soap in his mouth for hitting me, he apologized and went right to bed.  Beckham wasn't long after.  Ella & Wren slept on the couch and Amber and I stayed up and chatted a bit longer & called it a night.  I love that we were able to spend the evening visiting and that the kids were so well loved by these girls.  I'm glad I know they like them & will use them often.  I'm glad Amber and I still get to have sleepovers & that our kids get along so well.  Grateful for this fun day.
{Friday} May 6th, we woke up & had a slow getting going morning with Amber & the girls & the kids watched the lawn mower guys while A searched out music for our class reunion-totally brought back memories & made us more excited for the reunion.
They left around 11 and we got some cuddling time in & rested-we were all tired from the late night before.  The afternoon was spent playing and enjoying the little warmth of the day. (:  That evening we headed to Becca's to drop off Terren's birthday present and check in.  I didn't stay for the party because I was tired & didn't want to be out late.  We also ran by Reagan's house to drop off a movie she'd left and to get a picture of her with the boys.  Gray was totally excited going there and then acted like a poop when we got there.  He warmed up pretty quick though and Sheila gave me a tour through their beautiful home.  Beckham just completely lit up when he saw Reagan and I think that made her feel good.  She is a sweet girl-super quiet & I think I made awkward fast conversation because of it-but great with my kids & that's what matters!

We ate a quick dinner at my folks & visited with them for a bit and then I headed home to get the boys in bed.  They were both down & asleep by 9 which allowed me time to relax and read which was nice.  Zac's 9:00 PM flight was delayed till 11:00 PM, so he wasn't going to be home till late.  I went to bed around 12:30 and he got home around 2:00 AM.  I HATE sleeping by myself and have a really hard time with that when he's gone.  I also get scared easily & my mind runs away with me.  When he cuddled up to me in bed I just melted in his arms.  When he was gone my senses were extremely alert & attuned to the sounds of the house & outside and when he was next to me, they all dulled again.  I feel much safer when he's around and missed him while he was gone.
May 7th {Saturday}, we all slept in a bit which is awesome.  Aunt Doll came over to chill with Beckham who was napping while Zac, Grayson, and I went to the Home Depot workshop & to Walmart.  They let me tag along for their guys date & I loved it.  I loved taking pictures and seeing what they do when they go by themselves.  Took Gray to the bathroom & he totally freaked out about the automatic hand dryer-like high pitched screaming.  I was totally cracking up & he told Zac all about it afterward.
We got home & saw our happy baby boy.  Got random stuff done on our day off with Zac here and then he and Grayson went to the farm.  Beckham and I set outside on a first stroller jog for him & the first outside jog for me this season.  It was a beautiful afternoon and he LOVED it.  I loved the run, the music, the baby I was with, and being outside in the warmth of the sun.
We got home & I cleaned up a bit and then we went to Cleaver's house.  Em/Layne & kids were there, along with Chris & Lyla.  The boys played and we visited which is always fun.  We all headed home about 8, got the boys in bed, and Zac and I cuddled & watched an episode of Lie to Me before heading to bed ourselves.
